I got my tires rotated and balanced a week ago today. Best job they ever did balancing....Totally vibration free at all speeds.

So....I leave work today. As soon as I get up to 70mph on the interstate, I feel a vibration in the steering wheel. Seems to be coming from left front. I'll check it out in the morning....It's been an incredibly long week at work and I just don't want to mess with it. My wife comes home from work and walks in to where I'm at, plunks down a handful of balance weights in front of me. Left front shed all the inside weights....2-1/4oz worth.

Back to the tire store. They weren't busy and got me right in. They spun all 4 again just to be sure. 3 of 4 still good. Left front apparently didn't hold.....New weights. All good. Now I'll watch 'em real close for a few days.

Back to being a couch potato.

Freaking LOVE them. I only have the standard load, and have had them aired down to 18 psi when wheeling and had no problems. They look great, are inexpensive, and IMO the best bang for the buck in that price range. I got mine for $600 shipped from discounttiredirect.com

it smelled like gear oil, it was dark and had very small metallic flakes in it, you really had to look to see the metal but the oil was dark greenish brown.
The oil was just too icky to move properly.

I've heard of people putting a little duct tape on them to keep them on. Same thing happened to my brother not that long ago

Wouldn't the fact that you put duct tape over the weights change the balance of the wheel...lol?
