    What haven’t I changed?
The area around Montezuma, including up Swan river and Saint John's is a no-go for camping at the moment due to some aggressive bear activity. I saw the notice posted about Montezuma road, but the ranger on the phone said it applied to a larger area in the region as well.

6.5 hours at SFO yesterday only to have SWa cancel my flight because they couldn't find a pilot and next flight out for SWA would be Sunday.
4.5 hours of sleep, and I'm back at the airport - only this time, re-booked with United.
    Back to SFO Monday!

Woke up to a bear IN our RAV4 last night outside of Crested Butte. The dog was barking and I then heard some rustling and got out to see the fucker all the way in the back seat. It opened the passenger front door and climbed right in, ate some shit. Shined the flashlight on em and it politely got out, luckily only some muddy paw prints and no damage at all. All food was inside, and we didn't even cook at camp. Bold motherfucker.

Always lock your vehicles while camping... too easy for them to get inside.

Any recommendations on a good self etching primer for a un-coated bumper? I know SEM stuff is good, but not sure where I can find that on the west side of Denver. Would like to get it tomorrow to get the process started.

I'm thinking about top coating it with a bed liner. Looking for a rugged finish and after hearing the issues with powdercoating and rust... and having a slight issue with my sliders, I'd rather touch it up with paint when it gets scuffed.

I used rustoleum self etching primer on my sliders has held up real well I then used bed liner and then semi gloss over the top
Cleaned real well with acetone before coating

Cool. With the semi-gloss over the bed liner does it have any shine to it? I'm going for a less noticeable look. Oreillys website says they have the SEM primer in stores... to the tune of $23.99 for a spray can. A bit much for my taste. :D

My sliders had some rust spots that I scraped off the surrounding rustcoat... i mean powdercoat, sanded, used the rust converter and sprayed over it with regular paint.

    Riddle me this:
A couple months ago I email Coverking to see if I could order just one half of a back seat cover to match the front seats (standard neosupreme charcoal/black). I only have the smaller (40) section since the water/fridge are in the other area. They say sure... until they find out that I ordered from Amazon (new covers without a 2-3 week wait at that time, not used, not partial). Since I did not buy directly from them, they will not work with me. I made it clear that I did not want parts of the front set that I ordered off Amazon, just the partial rear. No dice... I bought from Amazon, so there is no helping me, no warranty. Nothing came of that, nothing ordered.

A month ago, I notice that the drivers seat cover is separating the top part of the fabric from the bottom part in a few areas. I email them on 7/7 and they get my info, I send them a picture; they give me a return number to put in the box and send it to them. On Friday, I call them since I had not heard anything. I give him the return number, he pulls it up, then says, "it looks like you ordered these from Amazon?", I say yes, and he asks if he can put me on hold while he 'finds the status.' He comes back and not only says the box never arrived but immediately tells me "If it would've arrived, it would be scanned into the computer and sent for inspection but that is not in here, you should check with your shipping company."

Got home a little while ago, checked tracking number, it was delivered on the 12th.

Something smells fishy in here! I'll be calling tomorrow morning since they are open.

I've been through this as a manufacturer (not at all related to trucks). There could be a few scenarios here. Maybe CK sells cheaper products in other countries, and someone is redirecting those products back to the US. Maybe CK is testing out a cheaper manufacturing process/country and selling them only through Amazon to track reviews (great strategy for this, BTW). Maybe someone is manufacturing knock-offs and selling them under the CK brand (managing a brand's products on Amazon is a very specialized skill set).

Could be they pulled a fast one. Could easily be they got pwned on Amazon and don't know how to deal with it. I'm interested to see how this plays out.
