Anyone know where a good shop is in nc that is familiar with Tacoma take off shudder? Have installed shims and played with carrier bearing. I am tired of messing with it myself maybe someone has more experience with it. I live around the Raleigh area.

Trying to debate whether or not to have the paint shop match my hood and bumper paint to my fenders. Paint is still so new on the fenders from last accident it's like why do it you know? It's $150 difference. It's all gonna be the same color but it's a matter of whether I want him to mix and match to my fenders.

 

Also got my check in and should be ordering parts tomorrow or something like that

I'm really debating it. It's just that if I don't I will come out of this 70-80 dollars ahead and in my pocket. If I don't them I've gotta dish out 70-80 dollars. And after my scam incident in counting dollars everywhere I can

Yeah and like I said paint on the fenders is 8 months not 8.5 years old so it's like is $150 really nessecary. If it was the old paint I totally would but it's still so new it's like why bother

 

The difference is going to be how the paint lays down, different paint, painter, brand, mix, temperature, it's all part of the equation. A good paint guy will do well, but there are still tells, in certain light it could be very apparent. Paint it all, everything is laid the same. Paint parts, just slight variance can be night and day difference

 

It comes down to, it's a 9-10yo truck with at least 2 car fax hits on it.
With slightly mismatched paint, is the value there for the extra $150 cost of having every thing sprayed ?

 

I don't plan on getting rid of it as I'm still paying it off. And I'm doing a 2012 front end swap when I get these parts in. So I guess it's more of what is more of a value hit the paint not being 100% or the fact it's gonna be a 2007/12.

 

Although I guess I'll just take the hit for it and pay the extra money you know? It will only be 70-80 out of my pocket but it will help value some I guess
