    ^No. But even if you cut those number in half(being generous), still not bad. I'd like to increase throttle response(TSB flash will hopefully help), and get a little more noise from my quiet taco. Also.. the $50 MIR doesn't hurt.

    Smoother intake tube makes a difference. That accordion tube does nothing good for air flow.

    Not to mention today's cats flow very freely and may rob 1-2 horse power. Removing them will do absolutely nothing for you other than make your exhaust a little louder.

    Throttle response and noise makes it more fun to drive. Mine's a M/T so you guys with autos better get that TSB flash haha.

    Is there any way to measure the "throttle response" claim that is so common?

    My guess is more noise = throttle response improvement.

    I'm sure the aftermarket intake filters at least as well as the crap paper stock filter does. It draws air from the same place so it will not be any cooler than stock. It does however have a smoother tube leading to the throttle body which will lead to less turbulent air. 5-7 HP gain is what you should realistically expect.

    I don't think anyone here know what am increase in horse power does for a vehicle. How many of you are driving the vehicle as fast as it can in a straight line, turning under max power, or climbing hills at max load?

    Almost everyone in here is talking about throttle response and acceleration... Which is torque

    Ok so 5-7 ft lbs increase. Better? Lol either way, it's marginal. It's all in your head because now you can hear it.
