ya i am just gonna go there because i called around and all the other shops seem to think that it takes a hour to a hour and a half to switch everything over the others want like 95 89 bucks just to do it

 

is that including installation at pepboys? what should i take to the meet? my only goood jack got jacked when my accord got broken into. i got basic tools. ill be getting the coil compressor at autozone on friday or saturday morning. anything else i should take? ill be installing the billy 5100s on the front and the ome coils in the rear (if they come on time).

Nah Im keeping the ubolts. I was just curious to know what the big deal was about reusing them. I thought id get an explanation like:

Well, when removing the ubolts a special chemical called iagdkjashdgsjh is released which weakens the ubolt and, in turn, causes you to fall off the face of the earth instantly.

 

Hey bean, why don't you go with throughitalldude to pep boys and have them compress the coils? Only 20 bucks a pop. Would be soo much safer and faster.

You take them off your rig, bring them and the new ones to pep boys and they swap the shocks. Them go put them back on.

 

I may be a Tundra, but I'll be there. I'll see what food I can bring. Might be carne asada or something.

 

UPDATE so even though the bilsteins didnt work out i got lucky and someone just sold me toytec coilovers used for 200 in the buy and sell section so i will be needing help putting those on for me.

Sounds much easier then having to go get the springs compressed. This will be an easy swap in and swap out...

Anyone got Air Tools to make this easier? Hay, Bring some more BEER for the guys who help with the installs.. You'll be saving an ish load on install and you'll know its done right! You can learn by watching us as thats how I learned.

Nice. I saw those too. Just make sure the threads are not rusted or anything. They looked pretty dirty.

Look for rust. Have him clean them before you come. Make sure the adjustment collar can turn on the threads. Ask how old? Miles?

If you can find new bilstein 5100's by mod day I would say buy them and have pep boys put the new ones on the coilovers.

 

If you bought these from vitang...they do not have rust on them, just a bit dirty. I just texted him.
