I've owned my 2015 Tacoma Double Cab Long bed SR5 4x4 for a year now. I have about 14,500 on my truck, and the tires that came with the truck (the Dunlap Grantreks) are really worn down. I found, despite the relatively mild NH winter we had, the snow I did drive in, the truck didn't handle very well. I put 3 bags of tube sand in the back, and still it was a bit of a scary 3.5 mile downhill ride from home to work. Would welcome any thoughts on the best tire for New England year round driving.

Thanks - I had a Ford F-150 before this - and I replaced the original tires - BF Goodrich Rugged Trail - lasted about 20K - with the Michelin LTX MS2s. They were great the next winter. Usually you can't go wrong with Michelins! Thanks for the suggestion!

I finally decided and purchased new tires. I bought the new replacement for the LTX M/S 2's - the Michelin Defender LTX's (they are discontinuing the LTX M/S 2). They are very similar. I haven't had them installed yet - but it will be soon. The tires that came with the truck new, the Dunlap Grantreks are down to the tread wear bars - with less than 16K on them. When I pull out of the road we live on - which is dirt - my stability control kicks in. A bit disappointed that Toyota put these tires on the truck to begin with. Anxious to see how the new tires will handle.

So far, I really like them. They give a way better ride than the Dunlap's that came on the truck new. They handle well in rain. The true test will be how they handle in snow. According to tire rack - they should do well.
