long day but a really good 1. left at 8 this morning and went to a tw buddies house for a little mini mod day. we started by doing a cmc on his truck and we went pretty much all the way with it. it took us 5 hours but it came out well. check out @TacoFMS build page he has a truly outstanding truck andy you'll like it and you can see what we did with the cmc. then we turned to my truck and removed the blocks from the rear and installed the progressive aal then i did the breather relocate. we tried to change the brake lines but they were rusted tight so we decided to take it to the dealer when i get a chance. we were worn out so decideed to wait to do the cmc to mine until later. all in all a really good day spent with trucks and a friend. check out his build

better it raised it slightly higher than it was with the blocks but i'm sure it'll settle a little. it is what you'd expect while driving slow through town you could feel the bumps and stuff more than before but at speed it road much better than before. the truck had a little wander to it which i thought was all front suspension but i swear it felt like most of it was gone had to drive an hour to get home and all in all i was very pleased

Well.....The drive in the park.....I told Sandy I didn't expect to see ANY deer moving.....Too hot....It'd be after dark before they started moving.

First to admit when I'm wrong.

We saw 70.....14 in one spot. And of the 14, 9 were bucks, 2 with VERY impressive racks already.

We DIDN'T see any of the Asian Deer that inhabit one part of the park. They're MUCH darker colored, and have a black stripe down their spine....and spots like a fawn even on the adults. All white tail's tonight.

Sounds good. I'm curious to know what leaf pack you have from the factory. Mine came with the 3+1. My AAL is a three pack, but I'm removing the overload when i do the install.

i think mne is a 3+1 as well i'll go look when the rain stops, i left the overload in we just dropped it out put the 3 leaf pack in and then the stock overload spring i did have to cut the bracket off the front of the overload spring where your parking brake cable attaches because it conflicted with the aal so monday or so i'll drill and ap a hole in the aal bracket to bot the cable to

i went out and checked i apparently had only 2 springs + the overload spring, for now i still have the spacers in the front giving me 3" of lift theses springs gave the truck a little of its rake back but it'll probably settle

Thanks for the reply. Yea when I lose the overload I'll be making the hole in the clamp itself bigger and fastening it the the icon mini leaf spring clamp. It lines right up. Glad you had a productive day Chris. I'm off the next three days and hopefully I'll be wrenching on mine. First I have some small projects out at my Moms. Also it sounds like your shoulder is on the mend!

Looks like I'm in another Group Buy.

it's getting a little better every day i could handle the welding and fabricating on justin's truck but it wasn't strong enough for the springs i helped but he did most of that for me.

New member here and closer to 60 than 50.

I work as a home inspector, expert witness and inspection instructor at the college so I kiss the wife goodbye this morning and jokingly tell her I am headed for a Monrovia home inspection just north of Los Angeles or where the mountain lion was found under a house. Yeah a mountain lion.

Today's home was 80 years old and had a crawl space on the left side of the home. It was a repossessed home by ICE or DEA something like that and worth close to a million and vacant for quite a while it appeared.

I am a full body length into a very tight crawl space (about 30" from dirt to floor joists) and I hear something rustling about 6 feet away. I swing my UltraStinger flashlight toward the sound and right into the eyes of a freaking pregnant BEAR who let out a goddamn roar that scared the shit out of me. Yeah a f'n BEAR. I moved at warp speed the hell out of there straight into my Tacoma and then called the cops and then called the wife to tell her "you are not going to believe this"

Armed with shotguns and pepper spray, the Monrovia police and three squad units could not dislodge a pissed off pregnant bear. This sucker was MASSIVE and not some puny ass bear. It was huge. The bear filled the entire space from the dirt to the underside of the floor and dug herself a hole to gain even more room.

Everyone had to split on the orders of the cops.

The best part is I got paid (and got lucky) even though I could not finish the inspection plus I got an extra $50 thrown in by my client as hazardous duty pay. True story.

    Evening Everyone

Early this afternoon we had some strong winds pick up and possibly from thermals formed from the excessive hot weather . Every time a Cal Fire aircraft flew over or siren heard everyone in my area got very nervous . It's got to 114 degrees before the winds picked up and right now its 89°

Finally got a chance to work on my Camaro tonite and finally finished the spark plug wires . Had to install heat resistant / reflective boot sleeves to keep the wires from getting cooked . Hopefully this will keep from getting spark scatter

Tomorrow I'm going to wash down my rod ends / Heim joints with WD40 then readjust cal trac bars and shock settings . Also try a more aggressive set up to get the Camaro to 60' better

There was a huge pile of dung at the crawl space entrance just outside I had to flick out of the way with a branch to start my slide into the crawl space. My first thought was some nasty homeless person took a dump and then upon closer examination before the great flick to clear my path to access the crawl space, I noticed the dung looked like something my grandfather's cows left behind. It had a lot of straw or grass in it.

The lightweight aluminum crawl space screened entrance door was mangled but this was not unusual to find due to lack of maintenance or angry contractors / homeowners.

If I had only put two and two together because when I got into the crawl space it was almost too late.

When I heard the GROWL and saw teeth and eyes coming at me and this animal was no more than 6 feet away, it was move fast or die.

There was a spanish speaking contractor in the front yard who saw me hauling ass out of the crawl space and I screamed "RUN - A BEAR" and when he had a puzzled look on his face I said "RUN - PINCHE OSO." Oso in spanish means bear. The brother took off hauling ass across the street with me. He asked me "are you sure?" And I said "Yes are you kidding me.....I watch enough of the Discovery Channel to know what a bear looks like and growls like and that is an angry f'n bear"

I said "here is my flashlight - go look" and sure as shit the dude peeked into the crawl space and looked right about 6 feet and the bear let out another roar and the brother RAN and jumped in his truck and took off. He was there to open up for a huge open house prior to an auction happening this Thursday for the property and basically said "FU Adios"

The cops were stomping the floor over the bear and then the bear let out another growl convincing the cops the home inspector was not crazy.

I am too old for this shit but hot damn it was exciting living on the edge again. Thanks for the welcome.
