What about rev match and dropping into second from third to chirp the tires ???

 

Is it me or is the truck a complete slug off the line or a monster.... lol. I can't seem to find an in between way of driving it-that is unless i dont mind the rev overhang.

What the? This truck must be in Canada. This truck is not supposed to exist in the USA....

 

That would be a DCLB MT! I was chastised for saying they do I fact exist. I know of one factory 2nd gen in the Austin Texas area as well. There are a few manual swapped second gens floating around as well but you sir have found the first 3rd gen.

 

More likely a misrepresentation of the truth...data entry error. I'm not buying it...

 

I'm not sure what I am looking at... everything I have read and researched has said these trucks do not exist. I would have bought this if they did.

 

That is what I thought as well but the photos shows a stick shift.

 

Pretty sure they are flukes... Left over parts on the end of a manual production run. Posted the vin for the truck for future naysayers.

 

Some one run the vin and see if it is real.

 

What was the 9th digit in the VIN again?

Mine is a "0" ...this one has a "6"

9th digit is a check code...VIN doesn't indicate which trans it has, much to my surprise. So much for that idea

 

Hey everyone, I don't really know where to post the questions that I have but since I have a 6 speed MT 2007 PreRunner Access Cab and I'm in the bs'n mood, I figured this would be a good place to start and maybe you guys would have some other threads in mind I could check out....So basically, I have a bunch of questions, but I'll start with what I am actually in the process of right now. I just purchased 8 ft of 1/0 gauge OFC wire with Tinned lugs, some shrink wrap, techflex, terminals, and some extra nuts and bolts to do the big 3, 4, or 5 or whatever it is on our trucks lol. I keep hearing different things and I'm not the greatest with all of this, but I'm a super quick learner and so far I've done everything myself and have figured everything out...So I took a look today, and until I start getting my hands in there, I probably won't figure this one out either, but I would rather go in knowing what I'm doing so I don't mess anything up...So here goes....I know I need to do the small ground wire from the battery to the frame, ok that's easy, got that....Then I also need one from that same negative battery post to the engine block...Ok, is that the black 4 awg wire with a gry stripe that runs all the way down looks like it's under the engine...maybe a 4 ft length of wire? Should I remove that wire or should I leave it when I put the new one in? I guess with all of em, actually? Ok, next is the positive power wire from the Alternator to the positive post of the battery...So that's the bigger (looks 2 awg? maybe) black wire with red line right? It has the gry top connector thing on the alt right next to the clip-like connector...do I do anything with that grn clip like connector or just leave it? Also, on that positive wire, I'll add an ANL in line fuse of 100Amps...But there is also a small like 10 awg wire running from the positive post into the fuse block...do I need to do anything with that? Or should I replace that one too? Then I'm going to add a ground wire from the alternator, that big bolt that you can see the most when you're looking down at the alternator, the one right to the left of the power wire we just put in...But i've also heard that I'm supposed to run another positive power line from the battery to the starter and also a ground to the starter to the battery too? Is this true? Or do people just do that because that harness that all the other wires are connected to also includes the starter so inorder to remove that whole harness the starter wires need to be replaced too?

So I'm sorry for all the questions, but do you guys know of a step by step guide or anything or does it sound like I'm on the right track? It's like all the info I've found are all a little different and some people just have different opinions lol....Thanks everyone and appreciate in advance all the help! !

 

I'm not sure from your post what you are trying to do? I think you are installing an auxiliary fuse block? If so, type that term into the search in the upper right. Tons of info on this site regarding that.

 

WTF is up with this truck. I will be pissed if they are throwing together the truck we all want, but they say we can't have with extra parts. It has to be some kind of error.

 

Just bought a new shifter knob,AJT Designs,5spd logo,stainless bolts,black. More horsepower I'm sure

If true, it is totally absurd that Toyota will make this truck with leftovers but won't offer it to a buyer who specifically wants it.
