Hey, Jim. Really nice cover and great pictures. I am about to pull the trigger on one of these myself, and I was wondering if there were any additional modifications that had to be made to either your bed rails, bed liner (other than drain holes) or utility rails to accommodate the install?

    Thanks!

I just got a 16 TRD Offraod Access cab and when I put the Toyota folding hard cover on the bed the noise at highway speed from behind the rear window is very loud. Anyone else experience that? Is there a fix? Love both the truck and the cover BTW. Bedrug on-route. Thx

a little water does get in my bed with this factory hard cover, but I really don't mind. I just never put anything back there that is not sealed or water proofed to begin with.

Mine held up pretty well to a Bear Attack. Anybody have any good experience with retractable? I was thinking of a Roll N Lock since it seemed to take up very minimal bed space when retracted.

Are you talking about when the cover is completely shut or folded back to the window?

Either way, I have the factory cover on my ORDC with no issues.

Sorry, cover completely closed, tailgate up and locked, rear window closed, side windows closed. A huge amount of wind noise coming from behind the rear bulkhead.

Clazzio leather seat covers, CBI T3 front, SOS sliders, SCS Ray10s, 285/75/16 Duratracs, debadged, extra bed D-ring tiedowns, Advantage TorzaTop, OEM bed mat, custom center console organizer, Husky liners, remote start.
I know this is probably too late, but I didn't find the answer either when I was researching about the fit of a 2nd Gen Advantage TorzaTop on a 3rd Gen. The answer is it does kinda fit...

The latches have long enough threads to clamp into the rails. I need to alter the gasket material that seals the front and rear to something thinner. It has a couple gaps and is not a water tight but will work until I get the funds to upgrade to a solid trifold.

Was inquiring about that one at a local dealer, but he said not to get it for Ottawa (Canada) winters, as it freezes up... too bad, I really like it.

Any owners of this model live in the North have any winter experience with it?

BTW that looks great on your truck!

I suspect it might up there. I've been there in the winter, brrrrrrrr. Pretty mild winters in Louisville. Could still freeze up mid Dec to mid Feb I bet

Any recommendations for a "bang for a buck" tonneau roll up style cover?
I was looking at the Gator roll up.

Just figured I'd ask before I purchase. Not looking to spend an arm and a leg..
    300$ range

Is it easy to take the whole cover off If I were to need to use the whole bed? And also where did you purchase? Online?
    Thanks for the help

Diamondback did ship out the correct clamps, and they arrived the Friday before the holiday weekend.

Since then I have completed the install, and have photos to share.
I highly suggest if you purchase a Diamondback truck cover, have at least one person to help. I was able to do 90% of the install myself. The only part I needed help was the adjustment of the locking rods. In order to get a good seal on both the front and tailgate panels, a second person is needed to press down on the panels as you make the adjustments to the locking rods. At one point I tried this solo, but had to get help when I realized there was no way to get the seals to compress enough without help.
Once you make final adjustments to the locking rods, you should lock the two panels, leave closed for at least 24 hrs for the seals to cure. I left mine closed all week while at work. The instructions state to install the safety catch(prevents front panel from flying open while driving) AFTER the 24 hr cure period. When I realized this meant for 24 hrs I would be potentially driving without the safety catch, I started over and installed the safety catch. That meant getting help again to get the seals to compress when making adjustments to the locking rods again. My point in mentioning this is I believe it is a safety hazard for the instructions to suggest leaving panels closed for 24 hrs WITHOUT a safety catch installed. In order to stay safe, you would think the instructions would state to not drive for that 24 hr period, or install the safety catch BEFORE final adjustments to the locking rods. For those who decide to get a Diamondback, I highly suggest installing the safety catch BEFORE final adjustments to the locking rods(or don't drive for 24 hrs. Your choice).
FYI, I went ahead and installed the gas springs at this point.
