Yeah that makes more sense. If i was cutting a big ass hole into the side of my Taco for a snorkel I would want the closest thing to water for hydration purposes.

Since this thread is for BS.... What would everyone do if they had to put a 6 in lift in the rear? My dealer replaced my leafs with new ones and they took off my AAL from Pro Comp and put a 4 inch block kit on.... now it sags..... I hate using blocks. is a custom leaf pack the only option? I heard go to Alcan but is there anything else out there for less? I DD this truck and I like to go on forest roads for camping and light trail use that is all.

    Are floor mats a mod?

Drill the light mounting hole off center in the light mount. Should have about 1" extra clearance

Custom leaf pack for sure. Minimizes axle wrap compared to using blocks

Custom giant ass shackle to give you the extra lift...
While that is a ridiculous option, you can get a longer shackle and that will give extra lift. IIRC extra length of shackle cut in half is extra height you will get.

OME is great for weight carrying, and seems to hold up well. Deaver I gave read on here in the past provides more flex than OME but is a bit softer of a ride. When I first put my OME on, I thought my truck rode pretty stiff. That was 2 years ago, but I am fine with the ride now.

Both are big names, I don't know anything specific on either except that Deaver makes springs for the SUA kits for our trucks, and that alcan is a common name for big truck leaf springs

Done and plumbed. Fitting the piping inside the fender was a pita.
