Went to the dealership today. they said they would fix it no problem but i have to wait 30 days after I bought the truck because of titling and getting everything in the system. gave me copies of everything and said just call them after that date and they would order it in. Surprised being I was over the warrenty for the TSB. Guess it helps when you buy 2 vehicles from them in less then 2 weeks.

First I called Toyota, told them my issue, got a case number, service manager from Balise called me 3 days later, had an appointment this past Saturday. Manger gave me the line, u know its going to be a harsher ride unloaded.... I said yes.
He did confirm with me that the first one they did was like night and day. a few hours later I get the call they they had approved the TSB, now just waiting for the parts to arrive.

I just picked up my 2009 DC Longbed (TRD Sport) from getting the updated springs and alignment. I was a little nervous when my normal service guy was out...and for good reason. Right after I got home from dropping it off, the phone rang and it was the dealership notifying me that the TSB could not be performed since my truck is a 2009 and already has the "updated parts." I flipped out and had them talk with the regional rep who got toyota to approve it. It all got straightened out, but man, what a frigging hassle this has been. I don't understand why Toyota dealers are so opposed to updating these trucks to carry loads.

Anyway, from my measurements it appears to have listed the rear end by 1-5/16". I will be carrying my usual 800# load tomorrow evening.

Edit: The work was done by Leith Toyota in Raleigh, NC. The less than friendly people at Fred Anderson shot it down three times...even with Toyota case numbers.

McKinnon Toyota In Clanton...Did what they were supposed to the first time, although they left a bolt on the rear shock loose and I had to go back for them to tighten it. No big deal.
Did not give me a hard time...told them what i wanted, they ordered the parts and called me when they came in. Set me up with a loaner car, had it done the next morning.

I am taking my truck to Karl Malone Toyota this evening to have my 08 done. I will update when I have the work done. Fingers crossed

Got it back today. Everything looks perfect. They told me an alignment was performed, and I inspected for the 4 leaf springs. Everything appears to be in perfect order. I am very happy. Cant wait till spring to test out the ride under load

    What did they do?

Does the truck now have 4 leaf springs in the back?

I have to go there for my $4.95 oil change, coupon in the mail last week from Belise.

I have a 2009 Taco with auto trans, I downloaded TSB 0393-09 it says applicability to 2010 model. Is there a different TSB for the 2009?

You won't believe what they did!!!!!!
They put on "new" (3 leafs) and to top that they put my neighbor's "new" 3 leaf pack. He had been in there before me, and they put 3 leafs on his truck., he said no it should be 4, they switched them out for the new 4 pack. I come along and they put his "new" 3 pack on my truck, HOW DO I KNOW THEY WHERE HIS you might ask????? It had his freaking name on it!!!!!!!:eek: I showed my neighbor and he's like oh he!! no.
I Took it back and told the tech you have the wrong parts on, his reply..."Why do you say that??" I told him..."Because the parts you put on have my neighbors name on it!!"...loooonng story short, got my 4 leafs on!! I told you, you would'nt believe me!!!!
