I think I have a photo of yours I found somewhere that I was referring to for the brushed copper on white look before I pulled the trigger. Can't wait to see em!

I have only the stock setup to compare it to, and when compared to that I love the new setup. I went OME w/ 885's up front and Dakar in the rear with OME shocks. This gave me right around 3" of lift initially, and the tires added a bit more. I also did a u-bolt flip which removes some low hanging stuff on the rear axle. I installed JBA UCAs as well, based on feedback from here about best practices when going over 2.5".

On road is also better, especially after getting rid of the saggy-assed factory leaf pack. I can actually haul stuff now, and don't hit the bump stops on neighborhood speed humps.

So for the driving I'm doing now this setup works great, and was pretty reasonably priced. I would have liked to install myself, but simply never got the time and finally just had a great local shop do the work.

Thanks again man. The suspension sounds great and I will continue to research and see what set up suits my budget and style best. The u-bolt flip sounds extremely worth it to get more stuff off the ground.

I'm also in the same boat with time and space when it comes to the work myself.

Truth. I had planned on tubbing for my 315s anyway, but it was kinda surprising just how little turning range I had with 2-2.5" of lift and 3.5BS.

And I can see how folks here can get really weary of answering the same "Can I run 37s with my stock suspension?" questions. All the info is out there, between TW, TTORA, Pirate, etc. People just need to work on their Google Fu, I guess.

So 255/80r17 seems to be the most common size I'm seeing here. I'm trying to figure out what size to run with the icon stage 3. I'm used to performance tires on cars and low pros for slammed trucks. Help the uneducated out here. Strictly dd. Will rarely see off-road. What load range? Size? Or is it all personal preference?

thinking my next set of tires (replacing worn ATII's) will be 285/70/17 S/T Maxx's.

Anybody else make that switch? looking for comparisons. I am around 40k miles and 3-4 years on my Toyo's. they have done well, but always looking for other options.

Honestly, I'd skip these tires then. I'm running 255/80's on my daily driver, and they suck quite a bit of power. They're insanely heavy. But, I off-road and use them for their intended purpose (they're excellent), and I don't put on a lot of miles on my truck, so they still work for me.

    Get some p-rated AT tires.

I can't wait to get back up there and run those passes. I was up in early June but there was still too much snow. My ST Maxx's did great in the few places we could rest them out though.
