    Ok..so My Doc told me that my Blood pressure is too high (189/104). I'm needing Heart Healthy meal ideas. I know the usual fish, chicken blah blah, just would like some good meal ideas from all you health nuts. No more of the 4 patty burgers with cheese, guacamole and bacon..:(

    Thanks for the info. I actually really like the Boca brand burgers with steak sauce. I tried the Morningstar Buffalo Chicken bites and loved em..just can't find them anymore.

    Like Veggies in stuff?? I like eating that stuff...so as long as it has a side of 20 oz. Ribeye steak with it.

    A lot of food tastes like the spices you put on it...they key is to find spices that taste good to you that aren't bad for you. Salt makes everything taste good but is obviously a no-no. There's many others that will give you good flavor to whatever you're eating and won't hurt you (like Oregano, or red peppers)

    I love Hummus on whole wheat pita. What about Sea salt. I heard that it's better than Iodized salt.

    This is a good point... You can make a lot of different types of meals with the right spices.

    For fish or chicken, sprinkle with some chili powder, cayanne pepper, and squeeze on fresh lime juice.

    Grill your chicken... I like to use a stovetop cast iron grill for stuff like that... and of course there is always the outdoor grill.

    You'll notice when your energy is sapped and you have to eat a half pound of peanuts and a bowl of kidney beans just to equal the energy the protein in a moderate serving of red meat will yeild.

    The Japanese eat a ton of seafood (lean protein,) soy products (also high in protein) and they always balance it out with vegetables. Their culture and locality doesn't support very much fatty meats.
