Dude you were like "Nah she's to scared to drive it hard" and then she starts whipping it around and throwing up drifts better than you, AND THEN the mysterious leak happened and we about lost it. Thankfully it was just wiper fluid, that shit looked green when we first ran up and we all thought it was coolant.

PS I've got a heat gun we could probably heat up that corner and mold it back and up a bit. As well as seal the hole

Question on DK uppers: does heim/standard bushing make any big difference? I'm not a go-fast guy, more into trail crawling. Just want to make sure I buy right this time around, but not waste money on something that's going to cause headaches or be unnecessary.

Biggest difference is with heimed uppers you can solid mount your lowers and set your alignment with the uppers and then it won't lose alignment for the most part

I've been rubbing on it for awhile. My coolant is Toyota pink yo. She's driven it in the mountains and whatnot so she knows what she's doing.

Heims will likely wear out faster than bushings, and will transmit more vibrations, though I could not feel a difference. As said above, the main advantage it being able to adjust the alignment from the UCA, whether solid mounting or just additional adjustment beyond the LCA cams.

Heimed are not necessary for most applications, I am going to purchase the non heimed version later this year to match my lowers.

I just got a set of DK heimed uppers. Didn't notice a huge difference in noise or vibration, do appreciate having fixed lowers.

I could not keep alignment on this truck, now it's a non-issue. If you don't have issueswith alignment, I dunno if it's worth it.

I just moved in September and I'm up for my first alignment in this area, so that's kind of an unknown on the quality of work. The shop seemed more happy and knowledgeable than any other I've seen, so good signs.
I haven't had the spare time to cram alignment sorcery knowledge in my head yet, so I don't know how I've been doing or how to interpret what will come next. It's on my long list of insanity I must complete.
Noise isn't much of a concern, I have a lot of sound deadener in the front doors (my old Maxxis, KM2s, and current set of KO2s are all proving quieter/more tolerable than my dad's Michelens on his Camry). If the noise was absolutely terrible, I'm sure you guys would be mentioning it.
I don't know if heims take any maintenance. I talked to one of our locals who rails his truck like he's sponsored on the daily, and his heims are lasting longer than previous bushings. I think he's on ICONs, but shouldn't be much difference.

How are you doing fixed lowers? Welding the misalignment spacers to your cam tabs??? Regardless, I'd think having upper and lower adjustability would be a benefit, not a detriment, but if there's something that can keep me from purchasing TC cam tab gussets tomorrow, it would be nice to know.

Alignment either holds, or you're constantly going back to have it adjusted. As far as I an tell it varies truck to truck, and driver to driver.

I cut some plates of 3/16ths steel, drilled holes for the bolts and cranked it down. I do have the TC alignment tabs, so just measure and cut.

Heim joints are alot like uni-balls, they have to be lubed and kept clean, and will wear out. I have uni-ball uppers and lowers, so it's not a big add to the maintenance list.

If you can afford the heim joint arms, and don't mind rebuilding them, buy once and cry once. My life would have been alot easier had I done heim joints and upper/lower DK arms sooner.

@2ndGenJonny ...You should really rename this thread to "Suspension Gurus + a little mid-travel but mostly long-travel"

Read every page thus far, and have probably learned more here than any part of the forum.

    Sub'd, for the suspension smartz!:D
