Pokemon go said it was nearby but pokevision hadn't picked it up yet. Kept checking pokevision then it popped up. There was a guy behind me looking for it but it wouldn't show up for him. He crossed the street and went to catch it but it disappeared. I guess when the despawn timer runs down is when they run from you while you are catching it

 

Oooh from a 2k egg. Didn't give me any candies but it's my strongest thus far.

That's a good observation. Was wondering why one would run or not. I thought it could be the timer, or if you just didn't hit it with the right berry/ball combo.

I noticed if you catch one it still shows up on pokevision, you obviously won't see it again in the game, but of it bolts it disappears from pokevision. Got to give yourself more time to catch I guess...

I just drove up the street to catch a horsea . That was a personal vendetta because I had one bolt on me the other day and it was the first I had seen. Made sure to give him a berry and hit him with a great ball even though he was only a mid-200

Arrg! looks like my Magikarp hunt leaves me at 387 today. Here's to hoping I get enough to make a high level Gyrados by Friday.

 

Anyone understand this badge? I have 67 magikarp candies and one in my bag so I think that means I've caught 17 magikarps but why does this badge say 1?

 

Catch it near water I assume
