'81 Scirocco, custom built aluminum hauler. '13 Tacoma.

 

Towed this today, a little nose heavy since the tank was full of diesel.

 

Just picked this up last Wednesday. 2107 Micro Minnie 2106 DS. Dry weight is 3705, got the WD hitch with sway control. Tows like a dream.. 2011 Taco w/ 26K..
I put a Tekonsha brake controller in, the tow package made the install a breeze..

 

Instead of camping this weekend we used our rig to help move donated... dog/cat pet food from the Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry to those displaced due to the Erskine fire in Kern Co. Trailer is 1500 lbs and has about 1200 lbs in food on it.

 

2007 Trail Cruiser 23FQ. Not new, but new-to-us! Dry weight is about 3200 and tandem axle weight on the scale last week was 4100 or so with an Eaz-Lift weight distribution hitch.

Just picked up a USMC humvee trailer. On 37s and has a canopy (not pictured do to taking off to make shipping cheaper
eg: more height = more money)

Its supposed to weigh 960 lbs. plan to use it as a camp trailer/ atv dirtbike hauler. Its 12 ft long with 8ft x 5.5 wide bed.

Currently on a road trip. First shot is at a McDonald's in Michigan. The 2nd shot is at another McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

I swear we don't go to McDonald's that often regularly. Lol

It's a 2017 Shasta Oasis 18BH. ~3700lb wet. I am planning on getting a WDH after this trip.

 

Pulling a 2011 Coachmen Catalina 20RD. I'll see about grabbing a hitched and loaded photo this weekend while I'm out camping with it.

 

Eammon, What does it weigh and how is it too tow ? I'm looking at a Rockwood Roo 19 and it weights at 3800 lbs and I'm concerned about towing with my new Tacoma

 

3800 lbs gross trailer weight should be no problem if your truck has a factory tow package. If that is 3800 lbs dry weight, well, do you really plan on never putting anything in the trailer, not even water? 25 gallons of water is 200 lbs right there.

remember to subtract the tongue weight (380 lbs if its 10%, 760 lbs if its 20%, likely somewhere in the middle) from your trucks payload ... AC 4x4's have like 1200 lbs total payload including passengers, DC 4x4's are more like 1000 lbs.

I'd want airbags on the truck so you can level it with the tongue weight, AND a weight distributing hitch to keep from porpoising on bumps.

216 mile trip to Drag Strip Car and Trailer weigh in at 4400 Plus about 800 lb of slicks, tools, fuel and other goodie Gas Milages for the trip was 14.8 , 80% 0n expressways between 65 - 70 mph when ever possible.

 

It's in the same neighborhood as the Roo, 37-something, dry weight, and has a loaded weight of 5000#. I pull it with a WD/SC hitch and you can feel it back there, but it doesn't push the truck around much. I boondock most of the time, so I'm usually pulling out with a full load of fresh water and a full tank of gas in the truck.

The Casitas are all around 2000-2400 lbs dry (depending on model and options), and 3500 lbs max, and very nicely made.
