Motorola Droid vs. Google's Nexus One?

In about a month or so I will be able to upgrade my phone and was wondering if I should pick up a Motorola Droid or wait for Google's new Nexus One to be available for verizon this spring?

I have played around with the Droid and really like it but from what I have heard, the Nexus one will set the bar even higher.

What do you guys think?

I like having a physical keyboard. It's also only a matter of time until the newest Android that Nexus uses hits the Droid. I love my droid and is by far the best phone I have purchased.

 

the physical keyboard is nice, but keyboard on the droid is about as easy to use as the touch screen. It would be nice if the buttons were more pronounced.

 

The nexus uses the snapdragon 1ghz, that will be the ultimate in internet speed!

I'm willing to bet that Apple (iphone) will go with BOTH carriers (ATT/Verizon) sometime in the future.

 

I like the droid, I hate that physical keyboard.. I would wait and see what come out. From what i under stand, next November there should be some really great phones out there! Droid is good, but it's only the first in a series of great phones to come.

If iphone does come to Verizon, I hope Verizon plans for the data usage unlike their competitor AT&T.

 

I prefer the droid. I don't think the Nexus One will be much of an upgrade. Yes it will be a bit faster. but will the battery life suffer. Its thinner. More like an Iphone. I think its all really a personal preference thing. I prefer the have a physical keybaord. I know people complain about it. but i use it exclusively and am pretty good on it. There is a similar learning curve with on screen keybaords. The Droid should have 2.1 soon, rumored for the 22nd. Even engadget prefers the Droid.

The nexus has "speak to text" no idea how well it will work, but that is a feature i wouldnt mind having

 

I have had the Droid for almost a month now and love it. The Nexus will be cool I am sure but I hear that it will be "unlocked". My understanding of this is that it will cost you over $500 just for the phone because of no contract to subsidize the cost. I got the Droid for 200 w/ 2yr contract.

 

I believe its being offered both ways. with or without a contract like any other phone. but the last thing i read is from Trash-mobile that it will only be offered to new customers at a subsidized price. Not to existing customers.
