Indeed! I work in part, in the OR in medical device. Hospital markups are crazy!!

Plus, I see weird ways they spend money- like laundered, PRESSED surgical scrubs! Wtf?!?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
the recall wasnt for saggy though. it was for breaking leafs that would possibly puncture the tank. hard to justify. everyone w/ a new leaf pack would be trying to get it reimbursed under the recall.

if it had been taken into toyota for the issue, i'd use that as justification. also, passenger side wouldnt have caused the tank puncture, but would have been just cause for the fix.

i agree. i fought the good fight back in 2008 when the new 09s rolled off the lot w/ the same leafs that were under the 05-08 recall. they wouldnt do anything until the TSB was updated, even though the leafs on the truck had the same part numbers as the ones covered.

I took a different approach....they had sent me an online 1 year followup satisfaction survey, I bitched and complained about the rear leafs, told them how I had to replace them cuz they sucked. sent it in, and got a call a few weeks later, offering to reimburse me, or offer a $400 credit towards toyota service or parts at a dealership. I didnt have a receipt, so I took them up on the credit. Will have to send in receipts against my claim number ................and wait on reimbursement

    Easley or Greenville?

We are going to look at Highlanders. Probably new but may end up certified pre owned.

Nah, not yet. It's the wife's turn. She has no interest in a 4x4 T4R. Out of what she has been looking at, I'm just glad she is leaning toward the Highlander. The new Pilot is in the mix too, which is pretty nice. It edged out the Highlander in one comparison review I read. Now, do we want AWD? I don't see much need for it around here and it's not an off-road vehicle. If it snows I'll be sandbagging on a TrueTrac. It did great!

Yeah- summertime can be busy. Also, lots come out in kayaks or tubes and trash the river.
    :annoyed:
I tend to go out 10 months a year or so. Just not typically late June- early August. :)

Ok. So question for the group. I'm gonna tackle the debadging tomorrow night as my new decals will be here tomorrow. I've never debadged anything before but the research says it's fairly simple. Fishing line "sawing" behind the emblem through the the 3Mish tape and then rolling the remaining tape off with your fingers when done.

Now to my question. With as hot and humid as its been do you think I'll need to "heat up" the emblem on my black truck that's gonna sit in the sun all day or will nature have done this step of the project for me?

I used a hairdryer on mine. Sunbaking wasnt enough. Sawing motion with fishing line, peel excess off with nails, claybar. I may have residue left on mine because I still havent claybar'd mine. Maybe some other night, or early one morning before work.

I used dental floss on my old taco.. was hot enough outside to do the trick.. I guess try it without extra heat and see if needed hard heat..
