    Im going to call this afternoon and double check that the Rubicon will be open that weekend.. Really the only thing holding me up from setting dates for the rest of the trails.

    Just got a call back from Lorie with the rubicon foundation. The trail will be open but will be a "wheeling for warriors" event going on, only about 25 rigs. I'll have more time later this week to plan the other trails

    Alright sorry guys, just got back from a cross country trip. My brother and his gf moved to Pittsburgh and I drove the moving truck, visited family while I was there too..

    So working on dates now. Since it would only be 3 of us (possibly 2) running the rubicon, we decided to do a trail that more people are suited for/want to run.

    How much of Deer Valley is open to the closure? Is it worth wheeling?

    DV is a pretty decent trail. Run from the South and go all the way up to the water crossing. Great place to have lunch then head back.

    Hmm okay.

    Dakota and I drive down Friday, camp somewhere around the first trail we decide to run. Im thinking about running a trail Saturday, camp, run another Sunday since I know not many people can get week days off. Like Signal peak Saturday then Hell hole Sunday. Or are there some better trails to run for those days?

    Haven't ran Hell Hole yet, but DV is a more fun and trickier trail than Signal Peak, Corral Hollow, Slick Rock.

    There's a huge place to camp at the DV trailhead. I would probably run that one day, camp, then maybe Slick Rock & Corral Hollow Sunday since they're right there.

    Looks like DV, slick rock, corral hollow and Niagara rim are all in the same area. Corral hollow just looks like a fs road though?

    Thinking this right now.
    Saturday Sept. 10th.
    Meet up at the camp ground/staging area for Deer Valley (9 or 10am?), run that and each lunch. Head back down to run slick rock, camp at the end. Then go head to Niagra rim on Sunday.

    Also keep in mind, people take damage from a lot of the trails you mention (some take limp home damage). May want to factor that into your trip.

    Niagra Rim is technically a pavement pass to the south, here is one of a few dirt routes that connect the two.

    https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary/track/d8db38351d01973f8f2e79b9e72815a8/

    If I can get someone to cut off my weak sliders and weld some big boy sliders I would be down for this, but my current ones are starting to give me door damage.

    I know there will be some damage but try to minimize it. I guess take it as it comes since you can't plan it.

    But thanks! I was hoping there was a cut through to Niagra rim instead of going all the way around.

    Yea Corral Hollow isn't really a 4x4 trail, more scenic.

    Depending on the size of the group, DV may take longer. Also, I haven't ran Niagara Rim, but I hear its difficult as well.

    btw, I'm a maybe for the trip. :)

    Sweet. So we'll make that the plan then for the first weekend!
    To the DV camp ground is 14.5 hours for us so not sure we'll do that in one day... But I have family in Carson City we may stay at that night and meet up in the morning. Depends on how we are feeling
    I try to keep groups to no more than 10 trucks.. Its worked well up here to keep the group going, especially on harder trails. Hope thats okay with you guys

    When :Saturday Sept. 10th:
    What: Deer Valley, slick rock, camp, Sunday wheel Niagara rim.
    Meet up: Deer Valley Camp ground/staging area. 10am sound good?

    Going:
    @northwesttaco
    @dakotasyota
    @BudMan
    @tacomgee

    Maybe:
    @MJonaGS32
    @916TacoTruck
    @Gply

    Who else??

    If you wanna run DV and Slick Rock in one day, maybe a good idea to meet earlier?
