A lot of the slag was falling off and for some reason there was a ton of surface rust on it. I also have the maker's finger prints embedded into the steel hahaha.

    hey everyone....

my question of the day (it wont be the only one):

Im going to be putting my bilsteins at the .85 setting with the 1.6 eibach coils, which, mathematically, would give 2.45 inches of lift. for the rear, im putting in a 1.5 inch AAL progressive pack. Right now, its currently higher in the back and im guessing its going to be higher after the .85 seting and the AAL install. the question is!

If i had spacers to get the extra .5 lift up front, are these the ones i should/can use? edit: i have purchased LR UCA's so lifting it will not cause alignment issues. (hopefully)

With the 5100s at 0.85 and the eibachs you'll probably get closer to 3" lift since you don't have any additional weight.

Knock off the burrs a wire cup and an angle grinder. Hit the stubborn ones with a hammer and a screw driver to send them flying. Sanding takes forever with steel.

Mine had a little splatter here and there. This is exactly what I did before wiping everything down with MEK and priming.

That's what I'm going for. Are the 3/8 spacers from wheelers the correct ones for my application?

Don't forget to compensate for Tacoma lean. I had the 1/4" in mine and still had it a bit. Are you leaving your overloads in?

Did you have issues with the front diff rumbling or not with your current lift? It might not be a bad idea to throw in the ECGS bushing.

I currently have the 1/4 spacer in, with no visible lean. So would I have to stack another 1/4 on that? As far as rumbling, I do get a vibration when accelerating from 15-25 MPG. But, Ive had that ever since I bought the truck stock so it's nothing new. I would like to leave the overload in because I manage property and I have to load some things from time to time. I'll have to look into the ECGS bushing.

I'd leave just the current 1/4" spacer and not use the other ones since you don't have armor. You'd need longer top studs too with the 3/8" spacers

    These are my current measurements.

When I put the bilsteins at .85, I'll be at roughly 22.35 in the front. With the 1.5 AAL in the rear, I'll be 23.5.

Ideally I'd like to use the spacers to be a little bit more level instead of having over an inch of rake because of the AAL. Wheelers sells the two spacers with longer studs. How ill-advised is using the spacers?

Nothing wrong with the spacers, you can't stack them though. If you want to use them I'd uss 3/8" on the drivers and 1/4" on the passenger side. I'd just be concerned it will ride really stiff.

There should be a grommet at the rear of the cab. Might also have one by the trans, crawl under and you should be able to locate them.

Ok thanks. So the 1/4 that's already in the driver side, I should move it to the passenger side and throw in a 3/8 in its place?

If you have an automatic, pull the center consol and come out the grommet used for the E-brake cable. It's convenient since the CB itself is likely going to be mounted in a similar location.

Yes, and you will likely need longer studs on the driver's side. When I put mine in, I only used the 1/4" spacer on the driver's side and the threads barely made it.

I ran mine through a grommet behind the drivers side front seat. Its a a good size one i actually have two wires running through it currently power to my bed 12v outlets and my CB cable.
