Wtf, so I am training a level 6 gym that has 19k/20k prestife points so I beat a 1500 gyrados and it wont let me train again to get it to 20k it gets to this point then it kicks me out

 

This is why Gyarados is a good pokemon. It breaks the gym preventing anyone from kicking it out.

 

6 5K eggs, and 1 10K egg. I think the game is trying to tell me to get off my fat ass and go for a run.

 

Finally got it to work! Must have been my connection, luckily there was wifi nearby at the building it is at lol

I still dont understand the whole gym fighting aspect.

I saw you can fight your own teammates? I don't play as much as most so I'm always a way lower CP than anything at a gym.

 

You can train your teams gym like I did here to level it up so I can add a pokemon for defense. Level of the gym is the number of pokemon can be on it ie level 7 can have 7 pokemon

Got it. I always thought it just grows. I didn't know you could level it up.

Also, lets say I have a pokemon at a gym and it gets kicked out before I rack up enough time to collect coins....does the initial time get removed or is that where it'll start the next time I control a gym?

 

I am wondering the same thing. I was thinking you had to be active at the gym so I wanted to claim as soon as possible before someone knocked me off...
