haha, you guys are leaving me kind of torn on this whole sway bar removal thing. Seems easy enough to put back on though if I don't like it so I'll give it a shot.

Is some 'wandering' normal steering behavior post-lift? I feel like I have more of it now on the freeway drive to work this morning. I did get an alignment done right after the installation so that shouldn't be an issue. Just a subtle wandering one way or the other, doesn't pull or jerk or anything like that. Not really a big deal just curious.

You can get quick disconnects I believe.

I currently run no front sway bar on the FJ with 650lb kings. You can feel the difference when its not there for sure, however the free floating of the IFS is worth it to me.

I have tried the quick disconnects, wasn't too impressed and sold them. They are a pain in the ass to get the pin back in place and make a lot of clunking noise if disconnected driving at speed.

What you running now? I have 700lb's on the shelf, going to try those on the kings. Had them on my icons and rode like a dump truck haha.

yup, dont think 650 is enough. With my bumper, winch and steel skids not even the king adjusters maxed out to firm make the front feel "firm".

Watched video on you tube yesterday of a guy going thru 2N17X in his new range rover sport. Little sketchy at times cause its all stock. But he made it
Ride without for two weeks and if ya want it back(you won't though) I'll help you on our upcoming mod day:thumbsup: On another note do you need or want rear extended brake lines? I got a set from wheelers for like $60 and don't need em. The label says for 95-04 Tacoma. Will sell em for whatever you'll give me.lol

Sounds good thanks! I was wondering about the brake lines today...did some research and it doesn't sound like I need them since I'm not over 3" of lift but maybe couldn't hurt. Once mod day rolls around I'll take a close look at them and see if they look like they could use some extra slack.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Try it. Not too hard. Although I know once I had mine off my thought was "Hope I like it 'cause I'll be fucked before I put that stupid thing back on."

... It's worth noting I didn't take the front tires off.
    I don't know for sure with 1st gens but I know you can't with a 2nd gen.

There's a guy on here selling a used 48" Hi Lift for $50 local, figured I'd snag it since the bottle jack probably won't cut it anymore lol.

Are you guys mostly using the 48" Hi Lifts or the 60"?

Yeah thats another thing ($$$$) I need to look into soon....modifying the bed to hold all this crap lol. Need to line it first...had to get rid of the plastic bedliner I picked up, it scratched the hell out of the paint in the bed and bed rails :( Nothing a good roll-on job can't cover up.

    Hi everyone! :boink:

Back in town! Had horrible wifi at Cesar's:annoyed:

Got to do a little exploring in Nevada, not much though. Went out on some fireroad and got some red dirt on the truck.

Then took Powerline Rd. from stateline to Yermo. Was like 100+ miles of dirt. Mostly smooth, some deep sand, some deep ruts, caught a little air, and got sideways a bunch!

Didn't really get many pictures cause the bosses don't really get that part of it.:notsure:

Had a blast though! Average speed was probably about 50mph, a few spots drop down to 10 and the fastest was 80mph. Good times for sure! I think I found a new mandatory route to and from Vegas!:headbang:

Dang that scenery looks awesome! How'd the bosses like it? I'm trying to imagine what it would be like having the owner of the company I work for riding along in my truck...he'd be begging me to turn around and drop him off at his Bentley. Then I'd probably get fired, lol.
