There should be a group buy for blinker fluid so we can all get a better price

I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread. Checked my fluid level, and damn, there was none. Come to find out my blinker filter was clogged and my fluid reservoir was overflowing into my parking sensor coolant. Thanks TW!

I spilled my blinker fluid and it ruined my muffler bearings. Hey, that's okay, I replaced them with the gold plated muffler bearings...hehe

Blinker filter....? I didn't know our trucks even had those.
Do you guys recommend sticking with OEM blinker filters?

I guess I'll check my parking sensor coolant when I replace the blinker filter.
    Thanks for reminding me.

Just be careful not to spill that stuff on your car's paint -- it will eat right through.

Yes, there are two filters for the blinkers. Make sure you order case of them and change them often. Oh yeah, and be careful when you remove the parking sensor coolant cap, I just removed mine and the thing is so small it fell into my lower A-arm catch can - you don't even want to know what kind of issues that caused.

Way back in this thread I asked how to get the little black thingys off the tire air filler deals. Some one said that its a special tool that only the Toyota dealers have. Anyone know where I can get a black market one of those tools? My tires are really low and I cant put air in them until the black cap things come off and the dealer wanted $98 a tire.....that sounds kind of high for a simple fix like getting your tires fill to me :notsure:

Also, I noticed that the curb feeler whiskers are coming off my tires!!! :annoyed:Anyone know how to replace them? I am talking about the little black rubber whiskers on the sidewall of the tires that let you know if your tight to the curb.

It's also a lot easier to change the fluid if you get those speed-bleeder things. The first time it's a little messy as you have to take out the bulbs to install the bleeders, but after that it's a breeze. I change the fluid after every 500 or so left turns. It only takes like 2 minutes per blinker and you don't need an assistant.

6-Lug blinker fluid will not work on 5-Lugs, FYI...

Remember that there IS a difference between the blinker fluid installed from the factory on the Off-Road Models, and the Sport Models. The Off-Road fluid is formulated to work with 16" wheel clearance, while the Sport Fluid is for 17" wheel clearance, AND has to be cooled by the Sport Hood Skewp!
Mixing the two WILL result in either extremely slow, OR fast blinker operation, which puts a tremendous strain on the shunt valves that make the blinkers work, causing the seals to blow, and allowing the fluid to drain onto the front end reverse ratchets, and you ALL know what happens when your reverse ratchets go out! The Self-sealing stem bolts snap, and it takes a special high impact tool (A.K.A. a BFH) to remove them!
