    I'm most impressed that he claims the seats were like new. I would have bet that driver seat would be flat as a pancake.

    That's a mess up. If you read the article, they talk about regular maintenance like timing belts. The 4.0 has a chain not belt, also I saw another site that had more pictures of the truck and one of them was with the hood up and it very clearly the 4.7 v8 in this truck.

    My dad's 2005 GMC Yukon has passed 400,000 miles on the original engine so I could see a Toyota doing twice that.

    I had a 4.7L V8 Tundra. That trans was sooo smooth. It was a 1GEN body style DC now called a crew cab.
    Loved it and it got the same mpg as both my 2GEN tacomas.
    Sold it because it was too big but regret it to this day. That was a nice setup morphed from the t100.

    The 4.7 2UZ is indeed a stout engine... If it's good enough for a land cruiser, well, you get the idea!

    Which year 4.7 had the better horsepower? and still had the Taco size body style?
