    yes working winch here though I've never had to use it on this trail.

    This is the way @BoatRacer showed me. He would say "down" and I would put pressure on the brake and keep pressure as he opens valve. He closes valve and says "up" and I release brake pedal. Rinse and repeat. Also start with the wheel furthest from master cylinder, so rear passenger side, and then work forward.

    I've learned the same back when I was a kid and it took me my body weight to put enough pressure on the pedal, but I will say something about this truck is definitely more difficult. Last time I was at the task, I did it several times over and it just didn't feel right, so I took it in.

    I've got a winch as well. Plus all the recovery gear. Though doubt we will need it. We did need it last November or whenever we went but that was just due to ice.

    I won't be camping either....just a day trip for me

    So I'm ordering these replacement parts for King Coilovers today. Spherical bearing, spacers, and c-clips. All quite inexpensive. But isn't there some type of seal that keeps the bearing in place and keeps crud out of the rod end? I guess I'll find out for sure when I call King.

    I know thats the way I've always done it. But I've never got the air bubbles to stop. Maybe I didn't have a tight enough fitting hose... Idk.
    I've just never been able to get them the same. If we get Brian's truck bled that will be awesome. I'm sure it will help having @utroda there

    I will be curious hear how this plays out for you. The lower heims on my Kings are are starting to noise too.

    You want teflon-lined spherical bearings. From what I've read, this removes steel-to-steel contact and eliminates the need for lubrication maitenance (in fact, it can lead to degradation if you spray/lube). However, I'm also getting people that say 'spray them no matter what', and I'm really leery about that. I'd ask King what they say.

    I am fairly certain that these are teflon lined but maybe there are two types. :notsure:

    I think Jared said that the guys at Mule told him that his were failing because the seals failed or were gone. I didn't know these had seals.

    FWIW, I can make mine quiet (for a while) by spraying them with PTFE.

    Yes, whatever was on the bearing(probably Teflon) disintegrated and there is empty space in there now and they flop around. They probably grounded down extra space inside of the rod end.

    Just got off the phone with King. Yes they are Teflon coated and they recommend greasing them while installing. I also ordered clamping softjaws($150) to remove rod ends without damaging anything. If anyone is in need in the future you can borrow from me. Also ordered the proper size retaining pin pliers.

    edit: rod ends have locktite so need to heat it up with a torch.

    Hmmm. I wonder if those bearings are interchangeable with icons. Mine shit the bed too.

    not sure what my bs/offset is on these wheels.

    trimmed quite a bit of the cab mount, beat the pinch weld flat and trimmed back the bottom 6" of flare and fender.
