I was just starting to look into this trail last night. Looks like you can ride over 133 miles of trail starting somewhere after Barstow and end up close to Vegas. It is suppose to be a good 2-3 day run. I will track down the youtube vid I watched yesterday. It had some great spots. And the guy went after a rain so it was perfect conditions.Definetly on my list of trails I have to hit this year. Most everything I want to do right now is in the desert... Cant wait for summer to pass

I'm always in the 'can't wait for summer to pass' camp but especially now that we're looking into all these cool desert runs...excited for Fall to get here  I find that Halloween usually marks the beginning of the weather cooling down, September is always really hot even though Summer ends Sept. 5th

I haven't forgotten! The runs we've been talking about around Thanksgiving and in December are the ones I'm planning on.

Oh yeah... I forgot to mention that the temp showed on the dash ranged between 111* and 119* the entire off pavement journey. :bananadead:

Did you run into any overheating issues? A guy on here in the 3rd gen section from Arizona posted a thread a few days ago about how his truck started overheating while he was out wheeling in 122* heat. My truck would probably spontaneously combust :(

No, not at all. I watched the gauge the entire trip and it stayed in the normal range. Granted, I was in 2wd and averaging 50mph. I would probably have had a different experience if I was in 4Lo and going 5mph.

Ito cause we hate 4 runners! just kidding. That time works perfect for me. It's gonna be a struggle to wait that long tho... But there are so many other trails I'm looking at right now 8m sure I can stay busy.

we all remember, brother. That's going to be an awesome trip. If the planets align just right I'm in on that one in addition to your epic Thanksgiving run to DV I know you're putting together. You're definitely not invisible. Your voice reigns deep up in these threads. Respect!

Ones of the upsides to living here is the variety and number of trails we have within reasonable distances...i feel bad when i see guys post threads about how their state or area doesn't have any places to wheel at.

I go every year for Spring Training. Next March I'll be hitting up some trails for sure. Last March was a buddies bachelor party. Slept late everyday. Gonna make next trip a special off-road specific trip with some ball games in between. Also gonna do Overland Expo as well. I saw you went from the overland expo thread. I heard tales from Ron (@ODNAREM ) who went as well. I needz to check it out for sure.
