Not sure if anyone has posted anything similar to what I have experienced. I haven't been on TW for a month.

While installing my MagnaFlow catback I noticed my rear diff had fluid marks. On the bottom of the differential was a little drip of gear oil.

Today, I got my rear diff serviced. The service writer said that 3/10 of the retaining nuts was loose.2016-07-27_19.10.30.jpg

Yes this has happened with at least two or three other members on TW who have taken the time to share their story. I haven't seen a report of this in at least a couple of months but it has happened. One thing is for certain, Toyota appears to be taking a major step back in Quality Assurance. "Kaizen" seems to be absent these days. Kiichiro Toyoda must be turning over in his grave.

Dont blame you, forum full of un happy customers it seems like. What's not face value is that those without problems are out Tacoma-ing with smiles on their faces as opposed to posting.

I post and I absolutely LOVE my Tacoma. Pretty much issue free and 100% satisfied customer/owner. Only gripes are dealer/people at dealer related. Drama bs and I don't do drama so I deal with it at the time and let it go.

Line 1 was for driver floor mat BS. The others was reg maintenance and have them properly recheck the ATF, because the transmission still felt like crap.

Damn, I should have gotten the seals replaced. Did you try and get extended warranty? The only thing about the Toyota/dealer here in Hawaii is that it is a monopoly. Looks like you was able to drop off your Taco same day. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment and not get a loaner. Servco Toyota SUCKS!

If you call Toyota corporate and are cordial but give them your concerns and make a stink in a nice way...they could offer you up to the 8 year 125k mile platinum warranty

My SA at Toyota is very good to me. We give them a lot of business through my company so anything I need for my personal vehicle he gets done right away.

My truck is given to me by my company and replaced every 2 years so we never get the extended warranty. We send all our vehicles to the auction when we are done with them.

I called once, but the system knows that I am calling from Hawaii and refers me to Servco Pacific. It would be nice to get the Platinum warranty and cancel my extended warranty i bought.

Update: I called Servco Pacific, I got the run around and the play dumb act on getting extended warranty. I do believe that Toyota Hawaii does not have the Platinum warranty as in the CONUS.
