There has to be a bunch of them for sale. It seems like the first thing guys do when they buy these trucks is change out the wheels.

 

yeah that's part of the problem figuring out what's going to be the best option for me. i can just put the stockers back on and sell what i've got and look for a deal on something else then save up and buy tires later. or just save up and put tires on the wheels i've got. first have to figure out if tall and skinny is better for me or just replace the 285's my wheel's i have now are

 

Really sharp looking rig. Every time I see a nice looking 1st gen I second guess my decision to sell mine . Just like I kick myself for selling my 72 Monte Carlo.

 

It would not be worth the mpg hit to me to go with bigger tires. I don't offroad seriously and trucks serve a practical purpose for me. I'd rather actually drive a car.

Well...since we're posting pictures of our trucks, here's mine. Just your basic TRD OR with 3" of lift and a few other goodies. I'm starting to tire shop for the NEXT set while the Duratracs are still in great shape. Gonna be 285/75/16's either more Duratracs, Goodrich KM2's, or Mastercraft MTX's (A Cooper tire) . I had the MTX's on my Tundra and LOVED 'em. Excellent wear and amazing traction in mud and snow. They measure 32.7" about 1/4" less than most 285's, and have VERY deep tread. I still haven't got around to mounting my cap for the first time. It'll be on before fall. Me and my "posse" are going on 3, maybe 4 off road trips in the fall, 2 of them being camping trips. Gonna be ready for that! Added another sticker since this picture was taken! A Headstrong Offroad sticker (white) where the hole is on the drivers side rear window.
