Yeah I am making an appointment for next week to have the trans fluid looked at, even at the reflash it still doesn't seem 100%

Does someone has a 4cyl Tacoma? Hahaha I've been reading this thread for almost a week and I haven't seen anyone with a 4banger..

I called Toyota Corp and surprisingly my dealer called me today asking me to bring the truck to get the trans fluid checked and to perform the trans computer "refresh"

Pleaseeee have anyone this to their 4 banger?????

I don't want to miss some hours of work to be said " oh sorry we didn't know that you had a 4cyl, the "refresh" is only for the v6"

    Thanks!!!

I don't have a 4 banger but there has been a TSB out for the 4 cylinder for much longer than the 6. The TSB # for the 4 is listed in one of these threads. I am just to lazy to look it up. Maybe try a TSB search in this forum.

That's a different TSB. It addresses the 2-3 shift flare, date 9-17-15

Well, it might have the 2-3 shift flare if it doesn't. Other than that, you'd have to use Techstream to view the ECM calibration.

I had mine done last week, works fine fuel economy better, no more searching for gear when going uphill, it was pain before now it is fun to drive. Drop of mine got Loaner while they worked on it and picked up next morning,

Haven't been on in a while. Glad to see Toyota has finally made some adjustments to the ECU to better the shift issues.

Now I gotta wait until I'm back in the states to get this done.

ditto, I think maybe I got the sugar pill. well that's not entirely fair - my R-D is indeed fixed. maybe my 1-2 is too, but that was so infrequent it's impossible to say. aside from that, everything else just feels like it did off the lot (i.e. the ECM reset). which is fine with me since I never had any other problems anyway, but this is not magically a new truck to me as so many are touting in this thread.

First full tank gone through after TSB. ~200 miles in town, ~200 miles 60-75mph, ~ 20 miles 4-Hi. 23.6mpg (actual). About or slightly better than I would normally expect from such driving. AC was on for all but in town driving.

How do you guys get combined 23.6 MPG? I'm constantly in the 17-19 range... don't take this the wrong way, but are you guys babying your trucks when you drive around?

Made an appointment for this morning. Walked in they took the keys. Did the update and handed the keys to me an hour later. No hassles, told me that the trans will need to relearn my driving habits.

Certainly seemed to pick the right gears in stop and go traffic on the way home.
