MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Cabrac came last night. Probably won't install for a few weeks, too damn hot outside to be messing around with the truck.

Ya my intention is to be carrying two most of the time, they're wider kayaks and both laying top down will be quite wide. Gonna try 1st with no cradles to see. If they are wider than the rack laying side by side we might try a couple bars wider than the kayaks together.
I agree, those clamps suck. Would rather bolt to those nicely designed cross bars!

Cheers to getting out in nature and doing shit!!

Looking for ideas for mounting a pair of maxtrax on my not yet arrived cab rack. I thought I saw a pretty sweet design from someone who had a hinged bar as a strap across the center but I can't find it now...

I only have 2 maxtrax so I think the maxtrax mounting pins will look funny being too long.

    This is what I did,

Obviously long bolts but you get the idea, I eventually tack welded the washer to the wing nut to keep removal easier. Not very fancy but gets the job done.

@zscott made them IIRC :notsure: and having two mounted on the pins does not look weird to me but I guess that is because I plan on getting another pair..

I agree. I frequently carry only two, and it doesn't look weird at all.

Thanks fellas! Yep, that was the mount I had seen. I like that solution a lot.
