Has anyone already installed them on theirtruck, could you please give a run down on what do I need to take off and where do I use the hardware that came with the plates? What of the original harware do I reuse? I thought I would be able to figure this shit out but I am not able to. All help will be greatly appreciated!

I asked for install instructions but no luck. I am trying to figure shit out as I go. Trial and error with the provided hardware, so to speak. A simple set of instructions would have save me a lot of time.

That's crazy they don't include any type of install instructions .. hopefully someone on here will chime in and give you advice on how it goes on

So, 1:30 am and no luck installing all three skids, and hopefully I used the correct hardware on the two that I was able to install. The T-Case skid is supposed to be a bolt on skid, well fuck me, I must have a one of a kind truck because it has been impossible to install that skid so far.

Which part is jamming you up?

The front skid should be pretty straight forward. It lines up to two bolts in the cross member just below the radiator. Then the back lines up to two small tapped holes in the LCA cross member.

The transmission plate bolts to the front skid at the front. Then remove the bolts in the transmission cross member, line the skid up with those holes and install the new longer hardware.

The t-case skid bolts to the transmission skid using the same bolts that you just installed. So if you have a full set you should get the transmission and t-case in place before installing the new longer bolts. The rear of the t-case used the supplied beam clamps to pitch a small section of the frame.

Let me know if this gets you anywhere.

Also, we considered install instructions but we thought they were pretty easy and it wouldn't be a big deal to not have them. Everything seems easier when you've the one that designs them so maybe we should reconsider. Sorry about that.

You likely need to remove the factory skid plate brackets. That may be what your issue is

Is there any chance that you were sent the 2nd gen skids, instead of the 3rd gen skids?

    Also, according to the website:

Do you have a pic of the beam clamps you are refering to please? Also, what needs to be removed from the vehicle?

I got the complete set which includes it. Not sure if i got a wrong part but there may be a chance of that. That would be bad, very bad. I will take pics of the T-case skid later on today.

Here is a pic of the T-case skid I got, when I attach it to the long bolts shared by the transmission skid, I can't find any holes that line up with the crossmember on the T-case.

It appears support will be in short supply this weekend, as the Mobtown team will be at the Toyota Takeover in Pa.

Mobtown uses the same pictures on their website for the 2nd and 3rd gen, so maybe they are the same for both generations.

Maybe the wedges are used to fill in the angle where those braces attach to the frame?
