pretty cheap to powder (flat black $20-$30); most are anodized IIRC. However, hawse fairlead won't take the abuse of wire rope and show hold up well to powder.

I dont like powdercoating... its good for stuff that wont be exposed to wear or likely to get chipped IMO (most stuff on mall crawlers). I'd rather spend a little more and get an anodized one that wont chip and look like crap.

My sliders came already powder coated... chipped in the usual wear areas (not to mention the scratches from being used), and then started to quickly rust and I had to scrape it off to get behind the rust.

It sounds like whomever is doing the powdercoating is not applying enough power and for proper thickness with associated wear. I powder plenty of high wear items without chipping or cracking. Sliders or skids regardless of coating are going to get exposed since all of these treatments are fractions of mm deep, but a fabric rope dragging over them should not wear through powdercoating done properly.

Factor 55 has some pretty sweet stuff if you are looking towards the anodized realm. Be sure to pay for the high quality otherwise cheap stuff will get UV fade and thus look like dodo.

Wow, LOL, it only took me about ten minutes to figure it out. I finally got it. It's the same way I spell it out with my kids. We are D...U...N, finished. Or that smells like D...O....D...O.

Bumping this real quick. A couple of you asked where I was located but nothing further. I have another interested party via text so please let me know if you are interested in this or not. Ironically I will be in Colorado Springs on Saturday and could haul it down with me. @hack4875 @TheMuffinMan

Would anyone know how much it would cost to paint a topper for an extended cab?

    Continuing the clean-out...

Does anyone have a use for a set of 2nd gen extended travel bilstein 5100 rear shocks, one of which is blown? I don't know the mileage, but I estimate to be at least 45K. Not sure if they can be rebuilt...but I'm sure someone here knows...

Free if you take both the good and bad one.

And I have some mud flaps on sale this week for $25.

I still have some camper shell clamps that don't work for a 2nd gen bed. $10 for all 4.

Yah, I'll probably take it if it works properly. I didn't respond cause I didn't have any trips to Denver planned. But if you're coming down here tomorrow, I'll be around. I'm on the north side of Springs in Briargate. PM me when you'll be around and your cell and I'll choose a meeting spot.

Yeah at the last minute that has changed and I am no longer coming down there. Let me know if you still want to get it or if you are gonna pass.
