Problem CEL, trac light on and limp mode, air stopped...

So yesterday I set out and the 2012 v6 taco.
It set of lights on the dash had no power and I made it back to the house.
Checked gas cap, disconnected battery and it reset the codes so off to work.

Today did the same thing lights came on no power..
Messed with it replaced the gas cap disconnected and reconnected battery and it did ok other than the Air that was fine would not work for about 15 min driving then it slowly started to work...


Any thoughts?

Would the Gas cap cause it to de power, air not to work and lights on?
Does it take time to get out of limp mode or a true computer reset and not just mess with the battery?

Let.me know if there is something else I should check.

 

You will need to get the CEL Code read to know what it is that is causing your problem.

These are the codes for the AIP Issue: P2440 & P2442.

I suspect you are having an issue with the Auxillary Air Injection Pump and or Valves that injects air into the exhaust to warm up the O2 Sensors.
