Well, after thinking it over and talking with my wife, we may end up getting her a new (to her) vehicle and me take over her car. If that happens I'll be rolling in a 07 Altima 2.5. I'd be cool with 30 mpg. We will see

the ride on these is awesome. Didn't bother going for a "professional" alignment. With my DIY, it tracks straight enough and camber looks good so I'll just watch for tire wear.

No jumps. I swerved off the driveway into the yard at 30 mph. Pretty smooth ride.

When I first put my coilovers on, I took an off ramp off the interstate at 60 mph and drove straight over the curb onto the dirt just to test the ride. If you have off the shelf valving, the faster you drive, the better they ride

Anybody want to buy some DSM UCAs? I'm not going to be building the truck up anymore until after grad school. Focusing on some less expensive activities for now as I only have a part time job. It would be smart to rebuild them with new bushings and uniballs because they have about 30k on them. I got them for $250 not looking to make a profit here I'm just not going to use them. Soooo $250 picked up in Jackson after August 16th.

 

I'm officially not gonna make it Saturday. My going away cookout is that evening.

 

Well dirty turtle ultra 4 race went really well. helped flip some over and then after the races we went riding. The long travel did everything the jeeps on 40s did. Excelled in some spots and some I had difficulty. All in all a few new dents but nothing broke and ran some crazy ass trails. Don't have any pics yet though :/

On a lighter note, my driveshaft exploded at 70 mph today. I found it 30' off the highway through a fence in a horse field. Either the slip yoke broke or the flange on the diff side broke which obviously caused the other one to break. Good part is there wasn't a car insight either direction, I haven't found anything but small cuts on the pass drum and wheel, hell i didnt even run it over, and the driveshaft itself held up VERY well with just scratches from where it initially dug in the ground. Bad part is I need a fucking driveshaft!!

 

My guess. Circlip(s) came out on transfer case end, end cap(s) walked off u-joint, drive shaft failed and broke rear pinion flange.

Didn't you just get that drive shaft too? That sucks, lucky it didn't take out a tire though.
