Looks really good. I had bad luck with my pin switch. It was either too close or too far from the hood.

I just got this done and the lights are awesome! The trickiest part was getting the wire ran inside the hood and out the small hole in the corner of the hood, but kept at it and finally got it.

i have those same LEDs as running lights on my Concours14, and they've been on there about 6 months. its my daily rider, 2 hour round trip to work, 4 day work week, plus weekend riding... i'd say right at about 2 million hours on those bad boys and still going strong!!!;)

    Looks awesome!

After a bit or time, you may need to throw a washer under the switch. My hood is popped and dropped so much that I know have a slight dent in the hood where it hits the switch. Thus not allowing the switch to fully dissengage and the lights will come on if hooked to a constant +.

Did you use wire loom under the hood or just the wires? Also did you get the 12V lights that come with a battery pack and cut the battery off or did you find ones without the battery?
These are the ones I found

I mounted these to the hood, then ran the wires to a toggle switch that i bought, & mounted that just behind the rad (i think its the fan shroud), from that i hooked them up via my aux 12v fuse panel shown in the picture just under/beside the master cylinder ... Open hood, Hit toggle switch and bam, let there be light.

    Ok dumb question...
How did you all adhere to underside of hood? My led strips all have metal connections on adhesive side and when that metal touched a grounded piece of metal during footwell lighting it blew a fuse. Is the hood not that way.?

These are the ones that I used and on the back was 3M adhesive, no metal. I would check if you could possibly return them or at the least use them for something else.
