I don't look like a super model nor did I come here looking for love.

You're 16 year old girlfriend that lives with her mommy and is a full time aspiring medical receptionist who will beg you for kids so she can be a stay at home mom and makes you do all the important things your entire marriage... Which will be about 11 years until one day you come home and she's getting railed by the neighbor and divorces you only to make you pay alimony... Yea that woman... Ring a bell. She's very nice though and drives a Ford focus and can't stand on her own in life. I should be her. Good idea. Note to self, be kinder.

    This seems appropriate.

Seems it might be a Ford Focus issue after all.

Did they ever make any progress toward fixing? With all the electronic integration, I'm not really surprised this happens once and a while. I'm also not too surprised when they cannot find anything wrong-not that there is not anything wrong, just that with engine electronics, you can have errors that don't get logged. You can also test an ABS system and find nothing wrong even though 10 minutes ago, it failed. And finally, the ABS might only be a symptom of something else, like a bad battery or charging system.

    Good luck.

    Thinking real-life?

I don't know. We know she has daddy issues but she does have a 852 FICO score.

    Orange is the New Black.

Anyway OP, if your issue was chasing down a Ford Focus on the freeway, with a lying/cheating ex-husband in the passenger seat, that stopped abruptly in front of you which caused you to slam on the brakes and not come to a squealing stop, could be an ABS issue that needs to be looked into. If they find nothing wrong, then the system is working as normal and the feeling you had is Brake Assist or possibly momentary loss of memory due to anger and lack of child payment from that dirty bastard.

The technical discussion here is interesting, and obviously the OP us frustrated just like I would be with a problem like that. The last thing you need is to be blamed for it. Dealerships and average mechanics are fine fixing easy problems but sadly lack skills to diagnose the rough ones. Since the problem has reproduced itself 6X, I would feel like the OP, it's bound to do it again. Maybe you could ask the service manager to drive the truck for a couple of weeks, and let him discover the condition himself.
