OP i feel for you i had a thread with a major problem with my 2015 that resulted in a buyback, i and two of my threads went to complete crap, with no help just immature people looking for somthing to do on the internet.

Now about your truck, from personal experiance with toyota they like to make lame BS exuses when they cant fix an issue, like in my case sand cause leafsprings to rub on metal, eventhough the truck is built for dirt. You may have to fight against toyota and take it to another dealer. I had to fight them for a year, and when i was going to take it to state, they immidialaty said they would buy it back. Which indicates they like to throw you under the bus until they know you are serious.

    Good luck op

just get 2 dash cams...One on the dash and one on the floor showing the brake pedal...Make sure music is always on in truck at a reasonable level so you can sync up the video...When you push the brakes and can see them being pushed on the foot level dash cam and the truck doesn't stop on the upper dash cam you have your proof...

The problem she is having is like your check engine light being on a few days, and the day you bring it the shop it never comes on. Can't figure the problem out with no symptoms and /or codes. I know totally different than brakes. But we all have had something like that. And sadly OP, doesn't realize that that's what @moondeath was trying to point out. Instead she lost it and tried to turn it on us. Oh well.

You can't fix what you can't diagnose and repairs are on a clock. Dealerships just don't want to tie expensive resources trying to help with a problem like this, and let's face it they don't have the best guys working there. The best are working in custom shops.

Until the brakes fail without the ABS fuse being in place and Toyota will blame it on that. Not good idea OP.

If OP is still looking at this thread, perhaps you might look at a lemon law attorney, explain your problem, then see if they have their own independent mechanic that can take a look at your vehicle?

The mech they deal with will hopefully have more experience than the basic techs at the dealership. Just my 2 cents.

Do the 3rd gens that have problems all have something in common. All coming from the same factories or something? Do the ones assembled in the US come with the same problems? Are we finding that some countries of origin where they are manufactured have less problems than others?

No, she flipped out like a spoiled brat. I tried pointing out some sound things, and she acted like I took a shit on the hood of her truck.

Yea I didn't happen to see a post about Toyota care not being able to get you tow. I was late to the party so I didn't have to unfortunately skim through about 8 pages of mostly garbage. So what's the current status of the truck? Seems like you took back possession. If so has it done it since? I'm not sure why they didn't do a good road test, if it's happened that many times to you. Something seems fishy if the report is claiming both pedals are depressed at the same time. too many variables to try and exactly say what the cause may or may not be. I'm not even going to start speculating.

I Agree ,I just stating using the ignore feature and it's great ! . don't have to keep hearing the same negative nonsense from smitty and others. This place is helpful without certain people always spouting off that negative energy. I don't understand why someone would own a truck that they hate so much, man up and get rid of it if you hate it that much. The haters should go buy a Nissan , or a Dodge or Chevy or buy back there old ford ranger with 130k that was perfect blah blah

She had plenty of her own bull shit bitchy responses to perfectly decent responses from people on here. Good riddance to her.
