Doesn't matter if the ridgeline makes 1000hp. Someone who wants a truck, wants a truck. Not some half ass car with a bed

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most are ordered with AWD. 0 to 60 in less than 7 sec. My first two trips through the NC mountains registered 29.0 & 29.5 MPG. Later calculated fillups shows those numbers were about 2 mpg high. Hang out in the Ridgeline forum a while and you will see it is a rock solid truck with very few problems. I'm hanging here for information on a future truck so checking out other truck forums.

Tacoma has 2.5 inches of ground clearance over the ridgeline.

The Ridgeline is a crossover SUV, with a bed on a strengthened chassis.

Ridgeline is a cheaper version of an MDX with a bed. Its a bargain when MDX cost $50k and you get similar tech on a $35 truck/suv:burnrubber:

Is it just me or is the Ridgeline expensive?

Honda is using a new approach to selling their ridgeline and dont expect to sell many so they make less. They built a new plant I believe in Alabama just to make the ridgeline and they just dont make that many. Let see how the market does and if incentives come out for them.

One of the problems with the 1st generation Ridgeline was the pricing. The prices are in full-size territory. And Honda isn't known to offer incentives.

I used to drive a 2008 ridgeline when I was building my house. I have to say it drove great and I towed everything from a fully loaded 14" trailer loaded with lumber to a 25 " house boat going 80 mph on the interstate passing most cars. Hardly noticed anything back there. It was front wheel drive until the transmission noticed slip and drove the rear wheels. That Honda 3.5 was a screaming workhorse. Yeah it was weird looking with the bed at that funny angle, but it was genuinely a pleasure to drive. Want to hear complaining, try towing anything with the Tacoma 2.7 with the 4 speed auto. 1st shifting to second has a 1000 rpm drop in between gears, feels like you threw out the anchor. Gotta still love Tacomas though, there's something about them that keeps us going back for more, just glad I didn't trade for the 3rd gen. After all the anticipation leading up to their release, I was expecting something better from Toyota. Only if a turbo diesel comes out, will I trade my second gen.

    Dam that looks good!

I think the Atkinson cycle is mainly to improve fuel economy? But I'm not an expert on it, I've read little and I imagine there's lots of proprietary Toyota info no one's yet privily to? IDK, Just saying...

I find that very credible, a trained driver can do that with almost any vehicle, I once done on a big ass tractor years ago! lmaoo!
So yeah, not a problem, but sent the $$ and C for ur self eh?

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

It's all in the technique. No different than doing a burnout to heat up the tires at the track and then setting the suspension to 60ft.

Kind of like like what we used to call power braking?
