Can anyone tell me their experience on the transmission update? Did it fix your idle issue? My 2016 SR was 1 quart low on tranny fluid from the factory. The dealer kept it over nite for a cold test drive, and said it was running "typical to the model". It seemed to run better after service but now is having the same idling and lunging issue when going from park to drive, and park to reverse. Also, I drove it yesterday through some hills in Ohio. I had to floor the truck to get up the small hills. This is the first I've heard about the transmission update. Any feed back would be appreciated.

Bree, look through the 3rd gen forum. There is tons of information here on this issue including a "sticky"

This is exactly what's going on with my truck!! Thank God for the info everybody posts on Tacoma World, otherwise I'd be in the dark. The fix came out after I had been to the dealership twice for service, and had basically given up with frustration. I have 5,550 miles on my truck. It's too bad Toyota doesn't reach out to their customers, when a resolution becomes available. However, that would mean $ out of their pockets. That's the way the world works. I'm just glad to know it wasn't my imagination. So far I've been a quart low on tranny fluid from the factory, and now this issue. Hopefully I can get them to fix it, cause I really wanna love my truck! PS: Will also have them check my U-Bolts to make sure they're greased while I'm there.:mudding:

Amen, they should just get rid of the Search Function as nobody uses it anymore.

To be fair the mega thread that everyone discussed their Reilly's with the TSB got changed to "deleted". So if they were searching titles it might not have shown up.

To OP. My park to drive delay is completely gone now. I have not had any idle issues.
