Before I get my 3in Toytec lift, UCA and 295 toyo's R/Ts next week, I have a few questions. How bad did mpg drop? I live in Denver, High Altitude.
Does trans (Auto) shift to much in OD?
    Will I need to regear?
Thanks, I'm new to Toyota's but log time Jeeper.
Some of these treads are freaking me out. On the plus side I do have the 8 year warranty and lift is being done by dealership.

Welcome, I lifted with Icon stage 3(similar to what you are looking at) and did 285/75/16. Im at about 19mpg, down from 20-21mgp. I have an auto trans and I also live in Colorado. I have not noticed any change in the shifting from stock driving. That being said, I am looking forward to doing the TSB and hopefully that fixes the issues that I have currently.

I had a 2006 with 35s and got around 10-12mpg and I just put 305 70 18 on my 16 and it's getting better mpg than the 06 and that's with a little bit bigger tire. Don't worry about gearing, you'll be fine. I haven't regeared yet and it drives fine. I'm not going to win and races but that's not what I bought it for.

image.jpg Stage 7 icons on 285s getting about 17.3 in the city and 21 highway. That's with stock gearing, aftermarket exhaust and afe high drop filter. Also in the springs as well

    Basic overland stuff...
No lift but running 265/70-18s (~33x10.50's). Seeing around 19-20 mpg average.

It didn't do a major increase but what little it did helped. I used toytec for everything purchasing wise. A lot of their guys can give you suggestions and tips
