NOW there is a FIRE WOW on the fringe of being out of control

 

Totally in control, I'm just close to it. 30' perimeter cleared around the pit. It was a huge dense stump, and surprisingly little embers ever came off of it.

 

First Dad-Daughter-only camping trip last weekend at Gold Lake, CA

 

That must have be special

 

For sure, we both had a blast! Went with a bunch of Mudders. She thinks Dad's Taco is cool, but she REALY liked this SOA FJ40 on 35s. The girl has good taste.

 

Any cords for this spot? Looks awesome and I approve of that fire!

Was heading to Palo Duro and got caught in a rainstorm near Amarillo while running out of daylight so I stopped here. The rainbow at sunset is cool though.

Blue Mountain Campground, near Eleven Mile Canyon, Colorado.

 

Big Hole river, SW Montana

 

Melrose aka Salmon Fly campground. Spent two days fishing Maiden Rock to Melrose, then two days the Beaverhead.

 

It's great to see a Dad out doing 'stuff' with his daughter together and by themselves. The doing is far more important than you might imagine. I'm old (for that matter, my daughters are getting there too) and they talk about the times we had together, fond memories for all, both individual and collectively. Keep it up, really worth the effort.

 

What campsite did you stay at? the one to the east or one to the south? Was it crowded? Thinking of where I should camp next.

 

This is high up in the White Mountains near Bishop CA. Spent two nights here. A little buggy but that was due to a fairly recent snow melt up there.
