Tacoma vs pre-Tacoma

hey I'm looking at buying a truck and I'm not sure if I should get a 92 Toyota pickup or spend more money and get a taco. They both have similar kms and are both In great shape

 

What year Tacoma are you looking at versus the '92?

I love me an old pre-Tacoma pickup, but the fact remains they are at least 22+ year old trucks and unless it was meticulously maintained and rarely driven it's entire life, it simply won't stack up to an equally maintained Tacoma.

All things being equal though, it really just boils down to which one you feel suits you best. I've drooled over some very clean looking pre-Tacoma pickups before, but I still wouldn't trade my '04 in on one. Unless it was a garage kept, rarely driven and well maintained < 1985 solid axle pickup/4runner (essentially brand new).....then I might consider it

 

It's a 1st gen Tacoma. Pre-2000

 

Welcome! I like the pre-tacos but like the poster above said, unless its in good condition and free of the frame cancer.

 

I agree on the frame cancer... I think fix about anything else!
