    Hooked up a trailer for the first time and watched the back up camera in action. It looks right down at the ball. Just drove up to the trailer hitch. It was a sweet feature I never thought of.

    It is pretty cool! I still can't get used to looking at a camera though, I am so used to just looking back that I often forget about it. I really like this feature though.

    Try putting in in reverse while going forward, now that's a trip!
    You'll be in neutral but it's cool if someone is tailgating you:thumbsup:

    I'm assuming you're doing this on a manual transmission?

    Nope, 6 a/t. It's actually old technology. A looonnnggggggg time ago I accidentally put a 85' car in reverse, I bout crapped myself. I put it back in drive and all was well. I forgot about it till I read about someone here doing the same thing on purpose and I tried it on purpose and had no issues like that old 85'.

    :goingcrazy::annoyed:

    Hope your experimenting on a $35k vehicle based on internet forum 'advice' doesn't end up with another 'can I get this fixed this under warranty?' thread.

    Yes, it 'works' (under specific conditions) but because of engineered idiot proofing. Doesn't mean it's an option to freely practice.

    But as everyone always disclaimers around here, it's your truck. Feel free to thrash it as you wish. :hattip:

    Pretty much all autos from mid 90s won't hurt themself when put in reverse. I still won't do it on purpose. But did on accident in a 99 old body Tahoe.
