I'd just towed my camper to the RV shop without the aid of trailer brakes. Dropped it to go get gas while the shop repaired the plug and the light either came on either as I got there, and I didn't notice, or it came on as I was leaving their lot for gas.

EDIT: I guess it's not actually the VSC light, it's the Slip Indicator light, nothing else is lit up.

The trailer plug piece should only be about 1ft long piece that can be unplugged from the chassis harness from behind the bumper. Have you taken that off?

It was the trailers plug that got mangled, nothing happened to the truck.

They've all got the same stance, lol. Since it was Sunday the dealerships were all closed, which I prefer because I didn't want salesmen bothering me while I was crawling around underneath them and tape-measuring clearances.
Surprisingly a few of the trucks were even unlocked, so I was able to screw around with seat configurations, pop the hoods, check out all of the storage cubbyholes, seating positions, etc.
I was able to do pretty much everything except take them out for a test drive comparison. :notsure:

I like the interior on the new ones. My co-worker's is the exact same thing as mine, just 2 years newer, same color even. His rides better than mine and seems smoother but I'm sure some of that has to do with being 50k miles fresher.

I know but like I said that can be removed from the chassis harness. That's the 1st thing I would do so that way you know if it's the messed up trailer harness or not

I did like the interior layout. The gauge cluster was nice, too. And one of the ones I looked at had a vinyl cover over the floor instead of carpet, which I actually would prefer, honestly. I track a bunch of stuff into the cab with me and keeping the carpet clean is a pain. And the flat floor in the back was a nice feature too. Just not crazy about that hard nose-down ass-up look. Not sure about that aluminum body, either. Obviously nice from a 'no rust' standpoint, but not so much for dent-resistance. Would definitely need a hard bedliner.

Lol. Don't get your knickers in a twist; I'm hitting the Toyota dealership to look at 3rd Gens and Tundras after work tonight.

I should just get the vinyl floor. I always get the carpet but then cover it with Husky mats anyways. I'm sure you could level it pretty easily with some 5100's, seems to be a common mod for the F150 crowd also or, if you wanted to be different, remove the lift block in the rear and it'll probably sit level. I wonder if something like Line-X would help with dent resistance? I'd imagine just a rubber mat and the rubber wheel well covers would get the job done.

    o_O

    Madness!

Besides, I'd be looking for MORE clearance, haha! Right now they're chin draggers.

Removing the lift block won't reduce the clearance between the axle and the ground. Just sayin... They are definitely chin draggers compared to the Tacoma. The Tacoma has a much higher cut front bumper. I don't off road so, for what I do, it's got plenty of clearance.

    Haha..

If I needed a full size, I'd be hard pressed not to go F150. I'd never buy a GM as a daily again, no way on Dodge. I do like the Tundras though but price might force me out of that market.
