Hey guys, what's the best sounding Exhuast out there for a 2nd gen Taco? No dual exhuast. I'm thinking about getting a magnaflow off road Exhuast but I want some other view points.

Best is a matter of taste. What might be best to me might be worst to you.

A 60' V6 is never going to sound perfect with any aftermarket exhaust. That said...from personal experience, I think the TRD sounds the best...though it can be rather aggressive at certain RPMs.

    I also like the TRD.
You can hear it from about 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. Anything over that the engine drowns it out.

I had no real complaints about the sound quality. But it's aggressive nature eventually caused me to sell it. Sometimes I miss it.

Or I should say a deep loud sound for a 2nd gen Taco.

I like my Magnaflow exhaust. Quiet at cruising, loud at WOT, and a little rumble at idle.

I've been looking at getting one of these for years, but don't want anything too loud, or ricey sounding. It's tough to tell from descriptions, and sound clips.

Also the damn stock exhaust won't wear out. After 11 years it is starting to look pretty rusty though. After the frame swap, it's pretty much the only thing left that looks rusty underneath it.

@Unchained 5150, PM inbound with exhaust inquiry.

If I'm not mistaken I thought the TRD exhaust actually only fit the later 2nd gen models. 12' - 15'?
At least I believe that's what the online Listings claim...
Can anybody confirm this. Id be interested in replacing my 09' exhaust

With a slight tweaking of one of the hangers, it fits perfect. I sold mine to a guy with a pre '13 and he had no issues. I believe he said he turned the rear hanger about a 1/4 turn.

I like the deep sound of magnaflow. It is louder than stock yet not too loud.

So i just had the Spintech 9000 installed and was wondering if you guys did anything else to make the sound deeper? Bigger tip? Does it sound deeper from outside the cab because inside, it sounds pretty ricey. Just wondering what if anything else was done. The videos on this link from Youtube sounds great but i havent heard this come from my truck yet...
