...OP, check out EatSleepYacos post with photos, post #19. He has a 2" AAL and it has a great stance.

EatSleepTacos, do you have a well lit side shot of your truck, or even a side shot you can post for the OP?

This is mine with a 3 leaf AAL pack in the rear, 5100s all around and OME 881s in the front

Got just under 2" of rake in the back, should settle a bit over time. Plus I'm looking to add a topper in the future.
    Screen Shot 2016-07-28 at 9.16.37 AM.jpg

The 3 leaf AAL pack gave me close to 3" in the rear, plus I opted to keep the factory overload leaf in. Removing it probably would have gotten me closer to level.

Nice rig, always liked the 1Gen Tacomas. I'm assuming mine will settle some as well, with any luck I won't look so ass happy. Lol. I thought of removing the 3rd leaf in my Dakars but I'm going to wait a bit and see how they settle. Might still do the 887 4Runner coils for 3" up front. Need to put some $ into my stereo though...it's never ending.

Just for comparison purposes, the first two are with the 885s in front and a stock 3+1 rear end.

Looks good with the 2" AAL. Definitely needed the AAL to get rid of the bro lean. Do you tow or carry any significant weight in the bed?

tell me about it...I shudder to think about how much money I've put into this truck since I bought it only 4 months ago. Every day something new gets added to the list lol.

My wife laughs at me when I tell her I'm done. Thankfully though she's an enthusiast and understands my sickness. It helps that she had me lift her Pro 4X with a full OME kit.

Within the first week of having my truck it was lifted with 32" tires and a shell. Then came wheels and UCAs and the Dakar leaf pack to replace the AAL. Not sure where I'll go with it next....thinking maybe a Pelfreybilt rear bumper and spare tire carrier....

Do you wheel often? If so, I'd say throw some sliders and a rear diff locker on there next :stirthepot:

LMAO. No I don't wheel often at all. No decent places that I know of here on the Island and everywhere I used to go that was decent has been closed.

Yeah, I just had the bro lean for a few days waiting for my AAL to come in. I never have any significant weight in the bed. I just like that little bit of rake.

I reused the stock ubolts with my AAL. If i was to buy one.. i would just get the ubolt flip kit. a little more $, but you get more clearance too as the threads are down past the axle.

I refuse to have the bro lean. I don't really have anything in the bed of significant weight on a regular basis. And when u do take trips it is usually just a bunch of mountian bikes and camping gear.

So would I be better off with a 1.5 or 2 aal? And I guess that leaves me with choosing what coil to go with

885 from OME will give you 2.5". If you want 3", go with the 887 or a .5" spacer with the 885. The 887 are listed for the 4Runner but many people use them on the Tacoma.

I had my fronts at 1.75 on 5100s hoping it would level out the truck... Had Slight bro lean. Just added a 1.5“ aal. Looks perfect. Slight rake which i think looks great.

Thanks. And at what point do I need UCA's?

They're said to be necessary at anything over 3", but recommended if you're close to it. I opted to keep my stock ones on for my 881s/5100s since I only got about and inch and a half of lift up front.

...well, the Tacoma gets light in the steering when lifted and wanders. Although not needed to get back within spec for the alignment, I have 885 coils - 2.5" of lift, it made enough of a difference for me in how the steering felt to justify UCAs. So no, you don't need them but they give you back the lost steering feel.

The question then becomes which UCAs should I get...I went with the latest version of SPC light racing greasable UCAs. UCAs can get pretty pricy pretty quick if you go with the upper end stuff like total chaos. Some will say they are worth it, some will say they are not. If you don't plan on doing any heavy wheeling the SPC Light Racing UCAs will probably work for you.

...I forgot to mention the OME 886 coils which give you the same lift as the 885 (2.5") but they are a heavier weight coil which allows for plate bumpers/winches etc without sagging. If you used the 885 and put a bumper or winch on the truck you would probably loose close to .5" of your lift.
