I do stand by my original review that the vibes are significantly reduced however. I just took the truck for a spin and focused on the vibration as much as I could. They are reduced to the point where I can consider them "almost normal" and no longer bothersome. Only worry I have is if Toyota miraculously does release a TSB for this, and it is determined to be exhaust related, that mine won't be covered under warranty with the aftermarket exhaust. Even if it's not oh well, I'm satisfied with the way it drives currently.

Is it just me but is the buzzing and vibration in the pedal/steering wheel more pronounced now (post-TSB)? Dont' get me wrong, I love the way the trans is holding gears longer when it needs power but it's definitely making the vibration more noticeable now imo.

Others have theorized that is why the tranny was designed to shift so often. So it will stay out of that RPM range.

Hmm, interesting. If true, its pretty ridiculous to think that Toyota would have intentionally designed it that way. I'm really hoping Toyota comes out with a TSB to dampen this nonsense. I'm sold that it's a harmonic or engine vibration issue that is either exhaust or engine mount related.

Tundra 2nd Gen owners noticed the same thing. I don't know what there is in common between the two vehicles and I don't know if there has been a resolution for the Tundras. Tundra 2nd Gen they had the rumble strip thing also, they did get a torque converter replacement TSB.

I'm interested to see if we'll be able to find any part numbers for the '17 Tacomas which should be releasing in the next 2-3 months. Does anyone know if there are part diagrams out for the '16's?

I ask because I'm wondering if we can compare engine mounts and exhaust components with the 17's when they release. I just can't agree that Toyota's going to keep making these buzzing trucks without the masses taking notice.

I'd be interested to see these as well as that was the issue identified on my LTD, which was deemed not repairable. [LEMON]

Ironically, both our former trucks came off the same line at the same plant. I was fortunate to have an honest dealer - [who was horrified].

And my dealer lost out after I either bought or helped them sell over 20+ vehicles in the last 10 years....

I sent a letter to Toyota Corporate, with a copy to my dealer, stating the facts, what had and hadn't happened over the 9 months of ownership, and why I was getting rid of the vehicle, never to return to Toyota or my dealer ever again. I didn't expect a response at all. I was left a message by 'Monique', saying they appreciated my input, blah, blah, blah...sounded like she was reading from a script. The dealer never responded to me at all...their loss.

For what it's worth, my dealer read your posts and was horrified, after 20 minutes of driving my truck. Offered me my $ back [or brand new Taco truck from plant of my choosing-I decided to get the 4R] to keep me as a customer--like you I have sent over 20 plus deals. I am appreciative for all you did to raise this issue of a major design flaw. Thank you.

    http://www.f150forum.com/f118/vibration-through-gas-pedal-298606/index23/

Looks like the F-150's have a similar issue with the gas pedal vibrating on acceleration. No mention of the steering wheel buzzing or vibrating like ours, but similar. Anyone willing to test out this band-aid fix to at least minimize the 'feel' of the buzzing gas pedal?

Basically, the thread has several F-150 owners putting anti-vibration material (Dynamat or Sorbothane) between the firewall and the accelerator pedal housing. Then they proceed to put washers on the bolts so that the pedal housing itself does not rest on the vibrating firewall. The washers act as 'spacers' and sit on the Dynamat or Sorbothane. Looks to have resolved the vibrating feeling of the pedal for those owners. If you read thru the thread, there's some pretty in-depth photos and looks fairly simple to do.

I might try it but am somewhat leery of messing w/the gas pedal as I'm not handy with vehicle mods, etc. That said, I'm almost to the end of my patience on waiting for Toyota to release a TSB or fix for this. We all know that a decent majority of these trucks have this vibration to some degree and its just disappointing that Toyota isn't acknowledging customers concerns.

Most likely going to sell mine by the end of the year, but want to keep this thread alive for any newcomers that have this issue but haven't spoken up yet.
