I know how bad my truck pulls an enclosed single axle 6x10 trailer with my road glide in it, I couldn't even imagine pulling that much weight.

First Smitty, you are correcto mundo on me saying NO. But, the trailer pulls fine.(Keeping in mind it's not a full sized V8 truck, all things considered) I'm top speed limited of course and my MPG is lousy. The weight distribution/anti sway hitch is a must. Here's my thought: If you plan on pulling a trailer max weight between 3500 pounds and 6K pounds once every other month on trips less than...oh, 500 miles, and on mostly flat to some inclines, this truck will do it. If you want to go more often or pull more weight, don't buy this truck. I wish I would have known before I bought the truck I was gonna get the trailer. (Oh, this is only one of the reasons to my first statement of NO. Poor quality, lack of Corporate care/concern, etc are my other reasons)
(Oooops, forgot to mention, for sale 2016 off road trd access cab, 12K miles, tech pkg, bed mat, $33K)

OK so this isn't a perfect fit for this thread, but...
I pulled my standard 20' camper (no slides) with our 2015 Highlander from Fort Worth, TX to South Fork, CO. Trailer is 3k empty, maybe 4k loaded at the most. I don't travel with water in the tank. The highlander has a similar drivetrain (6 speed auto w/3.5). Of course I used an equalize and anti-sway setup. IT PULLED JUST FINE! Averaged 12MPG, driving 60-65 on the highway. Lots of hills in West Texas, and of course serious mountain passes in NM and CO. Never had any issues - got up all the passes no problem. Since the Highlander is rated for 5,000 and my Tacoma is rated for 6,400 I expect at least as good results from the Taco (except MPG). Probably won't be pulling to an area like that again anytime soon though due to time constraints.

There are those that will disagree and that's fine but I feel the more you go out of the "normal" driving range, the less life you'll get on certain components. Pulling a heavy load or having a heavy payload on an occasion will have a minimal effect on components. Doing it more frequent will have more impact. I feel pulling 4500 pounds monthly for long distances will dramatically decrease the trucks life. Now, 4500 pounds on a full size truck with large V8 or diesel, well, that's just normal driving. One person I saw said the truck is rated for ~6400 pounds and so it'll pull ~6400 pounds. Yep. But do it enough and let's see how long the truck lasts...IMHO. When I was working, I saw my opinions proven on a daily basis.

Led interior/license lights. Pro Comp 7032 16x8 wheels (4.5 bs/0os) BFG TA KO2 265/75/16. ARE Overland topper. Plasti-dipped grill, tailgate stickers, glovebox stickers.

You have to go through the seasonal gate, then It's about 1/4 mile passed the split in the road to masonville. Big rocks, little cave, right behind that.
Just before the hardest part of the road where it's a rutty 35° Climb. That's the best part. If you go passed that, you'll end up at the lookout. On a clear day you can see from FoCo to Denver, to Greely.
