If Toyota was smart, THEY would offer the complete retrofit upgrade kit and no warranty void clause

    Cheers!

Hope the price increase correlates to the resolution of some fairly widespread issues on the truck!

Smitty I love following your comments! Dude you find a way to relate every topic to the shortcomings of this generation Tacoma. Though they are many and the ridicule is well deserved, the Tacomas problems need to be highlighted and kept on the forefront. Thank you for being a constant and a dependable reminder you Word Smither you.

Yep, my truck DCLB SR5 4WD went up 4%/$1300 in price, WTF, glad I bought when I did. Anyone else starting to think Toyota is losing it, a) this truck is not what it should be as far as manufacturing/parts issues and b) the price is getting outrageous for what you get. Next truck might be a F150.

It's his 24/7 job, when the sales increase as they will and the price (ugh!) he'll be on another forum running the same campaign. lol!

    Cheers!

@smitty99 got screwed. If I were having every problem available like smitty is, I'd be pushing for a buy back and try again in 2017 or 2018.

Any normal reasonable person would do just that, I know I would, but as he has stated, his goal is to hit them in the pocket book lower the sales, and thus the value of the vehicle.
That be like the hunter who shoots himself on his left foot by accident, and then shoots his right foot on purpose so his buddy's can carry him out lmaoo!

Oh well, different strokes for different folks

    Cheers!

Hopefully they keep working to get this stuff fixed. I was happy that they released the Transmission Software Update TSB, while it isn't perfect for everyone, it was a step in the right direction. Not a leap but a step.

The issues of the earlier model are resolved on the vehicle as a whole, I don’t have any, and neither do thousand of others, but they’re not gone on an individual basis.

You still gonna have vibrations from defective or out of balanced tires, warped rotors from stacking during storage or shipping, over torqued wheel lugs, and on. It happens sad to say, and more to the other makes and models, but it’s not the end of the world to fix. But finding a good tech might be a challenge for some.
My A/T is as smooth as any I’ve ever driven now with me approaching 9k.
But I did have to go thru learning and a couple tantrums during the first few days, got much better after 1800 miles and just keeps tweaking itself to perfection which is where I am now.

As far as Mike Sweeres go, he may have stretched things a bit when he said all of the parts were new except for the seat belt buckles or something. And technically they are, as there are no used parts used in a new truck right?
But then again, what does he know, he’s just the chief engineer, not the guy doing the grunt work right? lmaoo!

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!
