So, I am thinking on getting a new Toyota truck. So I google "tacoma forums" and find this site called Tacomaworld. Listening to the people who post here has cost me:

1 TRD OR Tacoma Truck $28K
I would have probably been fine with a regular sr5 but NOOO, the TRD OR is SOO Bad!

    1 Topper - $1450
Gotta have one after seeing the ones on this forum - all due to search engine.

1 set of Wet Okole seat covers, $200 something.
Never owned seat covers in my life. But after seeing those posted on this website - gotta have em!

Duratrac tires; swapped out factory tires $550.
Well, OK, as much as I would like to blame the search engine I would have done this anyway.

    1 Bed Mat $50
Gotta have it after seeing the ones posted on this website.

    Well, done!

But wait - I NEED better shocks. I NEED an aftermarket stereo... Those posted sure look good...

OP .. I feel you pain. I've spent over $2000 on my 5 month old truck. Most I had ever spent in the past was $200 for a new stereo!!

Damn you Google!!! Do I smell a class action lawsuit???:mad:

    Congrats!

Quick question, where did you find a bed mat for $50? I like the official Tacoma one but I think it's like $150-$200.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
I'm just glad my house needs more money than my truck does. I've sat here and almost pulled the trigger on after market head units. Tannue covers. but decided I needed a new door, Or another room gutted in the house., or new electrical panels. so on so forth......

You only have to worry if she starts asking if the life insurance payments are up to date and hinting you should up the policy amount... :D

That's because no one is in denial, can't get past the acceptance stage.

Just follow the 12 step program

Step 1 - We admitted we were powerless over our off roading - that our lives had become unmanageable
Step 2 - Came to believe that a Tacoma greater than ours must not exist
Step 3 - Made a decision to turn our checkbooks and our credit cards over to the care of the Toyota gods
Step 4 - Made a searching and fearless inventory of our spare parts bins
Step 5 - Admitted to our to ourselves and to our wives, girlfriends, etc. being the exact nature of our wrongs
Step 6 - Were entirely ready to have the aftermarket remove all these defects of our trucks
Step 7 - Humbly asked Bilstien to remove our short travel suspensions
Step 8 - Made a list of all trails we had visited, and became willing to make it back to them again
Step 9 - Made it directly to such trails whenever possible, except when to do so would interfere with scheduled modifications
Step 10 - Continued to take personal inventory and when we screwed up a modification promptly admitted it and pulled the truck apart again
Step 11 - Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our off road driving skills as we understood Moab, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to do some serious rockcrawling
Step 12 - Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to other Tacoma addicts, and to practice these principles wherever there's mud, rocks and snow

Well then, it's a good thing you didn't go looking for a new girl friend or wife. Think how much that would have cost.

    1) Dinner and Date
    2) Flowers and Candy
    3) gettin serous now- jewelry
    4) gettin lucky now- air fare, hotel, dinner, condoms?
    5) uh-oh forgot the condom.. sweet little lady sits you down for a chat.
    6) engagement ring, wedding ring, oversized wedding dress (still the condom issue.
    7) new house
    8) new car (mini van for the sumpthin in the oven)
    9) dog- cause you gotta have someone to blame for your mistakes. Besides he'll still love ya when this is all done.

Well, you see where this is going. Google is cheap. You think with the right head and make good decisions. Oh, by the way. You might want to look for some mats. Try CL this time..
    Ken;)
